Just a thought: maybe the car was already included in the update (608 MB is quite large for the implemented updates IMO) and will unlock automatically like the birthday cars...

Apparently cars will be able to be downloaded between Dec. 24th and Jan. 31st, so you have lots of time if you're away for Christmas.

Quick question, anyone know if the Jag can be used for the Historic Racing Car Cup? Or is it a special car and not eligible?

Nope, the car is considered a "current" car and cannot be used.
