Cities in Gran Turismo

To update THIS topic, let's revisit some of the track ideas that are either confirmed or rumored.

Among others include:
Hong Kong
Amalfi (formerly conceived as "Capri")
New York (confirmed!)
Citta di' Aria (confirmed!)
Paris (rumored)
Venice (rumored, based on EGM a few months ago)

There are probably others, but so far, Hong Kong and New York are looking pretty promising in terms of new tracks.

By the way, in regards to the last thread before this update, HondaKid, it looks like Metro is trying to lessen the number of Lightrail crashes. So good for Lightrail passengers and regular drivers alike.

its a real track on the most beautiful section of land.

:drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: Imagine being able to guide a V8 Supercar around it :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: That is probably my 2nd or 3rd favourite track. Bathurst 1st and either in = with, or behind Adelaide.
 
i know....it would be awesome. espicially because ive driven around it so many times in real life

I made this thread way back at the beginning of the year where I collated some sources, and made it into one huge image.

Surfers paracise is a heap's good track. I love it in V8 supercars 2!
 
I remember looking at the site you mentioned, ALPHA (before my mother%&$#^%@ computer crashed in making this reply). But as I said, I wouldn't really be surprised if a few more cities are included. Who knows? Some other cities may make their impact.

Earlier in the thread, someone mentioned that GT4 shouldn't be like the Project Gotham Racing series, whereas you mostly race on city streets. I think that races on city streets, especially in Gran Turismo, you not only race on city streets and country roads, but you also are introduced to new challenges in racing techniques. Remember racing Tokyo R246 and learning when to brake and how to turn in properly? Well, imagine thinking you can go flat-out on New York's curvy, high-speed section when you find out that you'll need to decelerate and even brake before going down to the hairpin. If you ask me, street courses are a welcome addition, even if they are fictional cities. And I am a city person. I like a sunny day on the streets in a suburban part of town (weather is BEAUTIFUL here in Houston, Texas, USA right now!). Then how about a nice race in a lovely part of town at night or even twilight? I say bring them all. But out of all of them, Bathurst would be a unique addition. Raced on twice a year, but are public roads when not being raced on.

I'm done here. Going to try to enjoy this lovely day here.
