Classic cars?

Is it me or is anyone missing the classic cars. I mean how can they say you can get in your favorite car and take photos or go on the track but is very limited. Im dying to get on a MR2 or AE86, or old vintage Aston Martin, Corvettes, Civic, etc and drive around the nurburgring, it sucks that this game is making me spend few more hundreds of dollars to buy another console to be able to do this. Anyone would think this might change?
 
Yes, I think it will change. However, if that is all you want to do you may want to reconsider buying a new gaming system just for GT Sport as Sport mode online is the primary focus of this title.
 
Kaz said there would be Super GT and vintage cars in future DLCs, so expect some.
Not sure MR2 or AE86 would be on what PD considers vintage cars, but one can dream.

The problem is that, as the game is build in his current state, those cars (as well as 2/3 of the cars present in the game) only use would be an holiday tour to some circuits and some photoshoots...
 
I don't expect the vintage cars to be as controllable or even as competitive but they would still be fun to race with.
 
There is 1987 Audi Quattro S1 already so I guess there will be more. We also had a slight glimpse of the Countach. It is not confirmed yet however.

Yes... And they had the opportunity to put the 205 gr.B on Peugeot, but instead choose to put a fictional RCZ thing :banghead:

Yes. Speculation is that Toyota isn’t ok with the visual customization allowed in some car racing games such as Forza. The reason we have a couple in Gran Turismo I assume is because of the lack of cosmetic changes we can apply. Someone else may have more accurate info on this though.

Regarding OP, I can’t wait for them to add classics to this game! It feels empty without them to me.

This was taken from Kaz honorary degree in Italy. He did some presentation and he have slide with some Countach picture in it and that was an in game model :

Any idea when new cars are coming? Someone mentioned something about winter/Christmas update, which is not that far at all.

That’s just speculation. There’s been no formal announcement as far as I know from anyone related to the game.
