Cleaning G27

Does anyone have any tips for cleaning the Logitech G27? Has anyone used a basic automotive leather cleaner on the wheel?

All I can say is:
Leather = Leather
therefore
Leather cleaner = Leather cleaner
so leather cleaner should clean the leather on the G27.

Mine just gets a little dusty from time to time. I usually just use a damp cloth and wipe it down.

Thnks, I didnt kno if a cleaner would mess up the die on the wheel rim.

Don't try clean inside it. If you remove the outer case then you can void the warranty if you have one.

I made that mistake.

I have to ask: was there some specific reason you thought that the inside required cleaning? Like, did it get buried in sand or...lol, did someone spill something all over it?

I hope it's running smooth now, after the detail and all!

Hey, got a question: Does your G27 have a "play"? -like a half inch of play in the middle (of course you know what i mean). It does affect crucial races like doing races on F1 and specially X1 where a half inch of "play" will affect your turn. Anybody know how to fix this. (G27 off warranty).

Not to come off as a jerk, but what, per se, does cleaning a steering wheel have to do with GT5? We have a full racing SIM and hardware section right here 👍

well by clean I mean applying the correct lubricant on the moving parts since the noise it made whilst turning got more intense.

It did fix it but I'm dreading the day something goes wrong

Ya it does have a little deadzone im not shure if it can be fixed. I think they all have it

You only have a 1 year warranty and it will definitely outlast that year. I took mine apart and chopped up the inside of the case to fit c-clamps in there and have no worries at all of it failing because it's a logitech.

Just two small clamps from a hardware store. I'll take a photo of it and show you what had to be done to fit the cover back on. Although is you use the smalled clamp possible to you adjust it out all the way, slide it into the g27, then slide the base over the front of the table, you shouldn't have to cut anything up inside the cover.
