Clearing up the Tuscan/Tamora Standard Confusion.

So as of late, everyone's been going crazy for the two cars featured in this weeks OCD, that were up until yesterday, only available as premiums, in GT Mode.

These cars are the imported vehicles from GTPSP. It even says this on GT's official car list http://www.gran-turismo.com/local/jp/data1/products/gt5/carlist_en.html

For some unexplained reason, these two got mixed in this weeks OCD. I'm guessing this happened because of a coding mistake on PDs part. They were putting all standard TVRs in the OCD this week, so someone must have accidentally put in these two, since technically they are standard.

Now for people thinking this means PD may be releasing all the P/S cars in GT Mode, they probably won't. Everyone thinking a standard Enzo may make an appearance, probably not. This probably won't happen again unless another mistake is made. The chances of a standard F2007/Enzo, are very slim to none, as they couldn't make the same mistake in coding Ferrari's to the OCD. There are no standard Ferrari's in GT MODE!

I hope this clears up the confusing a little bit.

You do have access to them. You can use them in arcade mode. Why do you need a lower resolution, basically crappier car, when the game originally includes a high resolution car that includes an interior, better looking, use of headlights. The "collection purposes" is a pretty weak argument. Just because the chromelines or the stealths are on the disc does that mean everyone should have access to them? No! People, myself included, paid good money for those, and they should be reserved to the people who paid for them. Not exactly the same point with these cars, but the point is if you want to use them, get GTPSP, or if you want an Enzo, buy the better premium version.
 
I've had 20mCR on my account for months now, I've been doing the Seasonals just for the prizes, not the CR. So I bought them, only because I had "money" to burn. The cars will never get used, but the 100% garage is now still 100%.

Damn you PD, for making me (and the game) adopt Pokemon mentality.

Why not? Because we can, that's why. By that logic I guess you don't own a standard Ford GT because there is a premium one available.

On the contrary, I think this is a fairly good argument. The "because we can" is the weak argument in my opinion. I for one bought them even if there are premium models of them. Will I use them? Never.

Nobody is going to go out and buy a PSP along with GTPSP for a few standard cars, don't be ridiculous.

I don't understand why would you get angry about this. It's not like it'll ruin your game because some bought those two standard TVRs. You can't expect everybody to think like you.

I dont even know WHY you made this thread.

This is 100% pure speculation by YOU, a non-PD non-official person. You have absolutely no idea what youre talking about and your BEST guess is as good as a 5 year olds

Maybe next week OCD will be premium ferrari F1's for 5 dollars each. YOU have absolutely no right in making ANY official statement on PD's part. For all we know, this was intentional by them..

Edit: I also noticed your post in the other thread once again spreading untrue rumors, especially the ones about the cars being removed.

I think just not talking would work well for you 👍

So what is the point? They're just digital 1s and 0s on a disc, why collect them when you already have a premium version? That's the definition of OCD collecting.
 
Well...I think it's fun for the people that collect cars (and what's wrong with collecting cars?) and the real truth is that we're so desperated for new content that anything "new" gets some attention.
 
I can understand collecting one of every car but collecting standard versions of cars you have a premium version is the equivalent of buying a mint copy of something then buying a tatty, worn version as well.

Taken just now. Both are still there - albeit greyed because I bought them (note the blue ticks indicating I own them).

The point is I'd like to have all the cars that are available for me(stealth cars are not) in the garage. I'd like to achieve this as a personal goal and since those two were also available I bought them as well. I wouldn't have lost sleep over it if I couldn't, but since they were there and I had nothing better to do with my credits I got them.

In the game, it's referred to as the "Online Dealership" but on GTP I see it referred to as the "Online Collector's Dealership." Also, thanks for clearing things up for me as I, along with many others apparently, was a little confused.

Never heard of Online Collectors Dealership. I have always known it as the Online Car Dealership.

I'm not really seeing why anything he said in the OP warranted such ire when he went out of his way to say that it was merely his opinion on why the OCD situation this time happened and what it might mean for the future, or why you decided to be so insulting towards him over it when I see nothing in the OP even implying that he was making an official statement on behalf of PD.

Did I say this was coming straight from PD? And I was merely going off of what I'd heard with them being removed. And if you would actually read what my posts say, maybe you wouldn't have written this idiotic reply. I said in my other posts " my OCD still has them in there" but I guess anything that backs up your opinion is what matters to you.

I posted this for people to just understand where these cars came from, GTPSP, the rest was my opinion, and I think that's pretty obvious if you have an average IQ. I made no point that this came right from PD, like you assume I tried doing. People can take their own opinion on it.

The confusion I'm clearing up is the confusion of where or when were these cars in the game. Don't make points and assumptions you can't back up. Maybe it's better if you don't talk for a while, eh?

Because this effectively introduces two new unique cars into the game which is cool for us collectors.

BTW you can't RM the standard Tuscan like you can the premium. It was worth a shot.

I have every car in the game for PAL and now I have 2 more. Sweet!

I wish we could get the Gamespot NASCAR and the EDGE Camaro for PAL.

I've got the EDGE Camaro because I have an NTSC disc as well. Bummer I'll never be able to own the Gamespot NASCAR.

PD better let me import my cars from GT5 to GT6 or I'll be pi$$ed.

I enjoy the Edge, but I think PAL users are the lucky ones. I love my chromelines, but PAL users get the best. I would love a Jag Chromeline. Jags are my favourite cars and I'd trade the Edge for the Jag any day.

Yer I think you are right. The '66 Jag is in all respects a far superior car to the Camaro '10. In my humble opinion the XJ13 is the best car in the game. It's a shame that we all can't have all the cars.

I'm hoping we get a free dlc of Kaz's 2012 GT-R. Otherwise I'm going to have to buy the new GT5 Academy edition that is coming out soon in Europe. I'm in new Zealand but luckilly I have a lot of mates in the UK.
