According to James May it was the world's first supercar.
It matches all of the criteria.
Fast: It was the fastest production vehicle in the world at the time.
Expensive: In London you could buy a very, very nice house for the same price.
Rare: Only 1400 were produced.
Unique: The Gullwing doors.
Beautiful: Check.
