Do you like the interior of your car to be cloth or leather? I was just wondering... Oh, and don't just vote please! Explain why too, this is a forum you know?! :)

Well, like I said in 'suggestions,' I can't vote on polls. But Snoopy, I believe everyone would rather have leather than anything else (especially wood) except for the higher price. So consider this my vote for leather. :D

Well, there actually has been a cloth or leather poll before, and surprisingly a lot of people prefered cloth. So now I feel obliged to poll this again and check how the new GTP "generation" feels about this.

Leather! I hate cloth because your clothes stick to it. You can slide around on leather much easier and more comfortably. :)

...which is exactly why I don't like it. My wife's Neon has leather, and I have cloth. Hers is comfortable, yes, but if I were to drive her car the way I drive mine (let alone autocross) my butt would slide around so much I'd lose time just holding myself in the seat.

And woddgrain - especially FAKE woodgrain - must be destroyed.

I prefer leather too, my parents both have leather but the vans we use to move around the karting equipment are both cloth and they tend to get very dusty and I often have to cough when I get in there. (It feels much hotter too.)

That's just something you have to get used to I guess.

Much prefer cloth, for the following reasons:
- maintenance
- grip of the seats
- just prefer the feel of a good velour over leather

Isn't cloth much harder to maintain?

No - quick vacuum and you're done.

The Australian sun is very hard on leather.

I do like leather on the steering wheel and gear shift, though.

Rrrright. ;)

What do you think of wooden steering wheels? Personally I hate them, although my dad has a partially wooden one, I think they're too slippery. And painfull when not equipped with an airbag.

cloth grips your clothes, making you stick to the seat... very important when racing on a track...

cloth for me

I voted leather. My IS 300 has leather but also has Escaine (a type of seude) that is really nice because it offers really good grip on your buttoks. It really sticks you to the seat which is good up here on these mountain roads.

I chose cloth...leather gets sweaty, costs more, gets extremely hot in the sun, wears out fairly quick, and cloth keeps you planted.

I just get this horrible vision of splinters in my forehead - not a fan at all.

I would take suede as a car seat material, though. Much gripper (plus I like suede).

The leather on your wheel and gearshift is a different leather to that you stick your arse on - much harder.

yeah im the same. a nice grey velour colour is sweet. makes the car feel coolish. i mean temp wise. the landcruiser has brown and tan cloth seats

Leather is the most comfortable I seated in. I voted for that because that's what I like and it makes me cozy and relaxed. Cloth is just sticky and futile ****.

Some leather isn't very slippery, though - I swear you can get grippy leather! :)

Cloth is nice - but come on...:D

None of my cars have ever had cloth in them, so guess what my vote is going to.;)
