It took Fanatec CS less than 1 day to reply.
It actually was loose sensor, it's fixed now - I just had to apply big ammount of foce to tighten it even more.

To you all who say Fanatec's CS is bad - make sure you fill in every requirement they demand and they'll adress you with extreme speed.

+1 to Fanatec

If that is/was all my issue was, I will fell stooooooopid :dunce: I actually snapped/broke an allenwrench trying to "tighten" it. So, idk, at a loss......

Good for you though.....ugh.......Just want them back, Friday can't come soon enough.......

I think I even flattened the edges on my allen now while tightening that screw, but I did tighten it in the end.
As I said, it needs some serious force to tighten that screw.

After breaking the ****ing thing, I thought that WAS enough. LOL Watch, I bet that was the issue. I even left the broken wrench in there to show I tried:sly: Jeez. Plus, I showed you those screws yesterday, lol.

Neeee nerr neee ner neeeeee
I told ya so. Lol

Just messin in you.

Please keep us informed if this is staying fixed for you.
Glad you are up and running! ( again ;) )

I guess one way to look at it is that fanatec products are the closes thing to real gear in sim racing as you can get. They always need to be worked on and adjusted just like real race gear.:lol::lol:

Haha, so true.

I once said - Fanatec's great...when it works, I was only half serious.

Again, just kidding. :)

Nice follow up.
Thanks!

I would think that a lot of people coming to this thread are interested in two things:
1. What the problem was.
2. How well Fanatec's customer support responded.

It would probably help these people if you updated the OP wit a summary. (Just an idea.)

Well, I'll do that.

Many people moan at Fanatec's CS when in fact they're the best CS I've ever seen.
Also, after a few days of playing I can really confirm that loose sensor was the problem, lol.

I may have missed some of your previous posts but what issues have they helped you with?

Edit
After sometime, not a lot it seems. Oh well.

UPDATE as to what was replaced on my CSP's for repair after the clutch simply stopped working by staying fully depressed/engaged @ all times while NOT being used or pressed.

They replaced the main pcb and the acc and clutch sensors. As for why exactly, I was not told. But, this is what was replaced. Received them back late Friday and they work tremendously!

Sent them into repair Nov.18, got to center on the 23rd. Shipped back out THAT night, and due to holidays, got them back on Dec. 2nd. Still, That is amazing with the holidays here in the states. It was a 1 day turnaround time from the repair center. Cheers!

Nice work Fanatec! Also glad to hear everything worked out nice and smooth in the end, AGP. ;)

Now for the CSW to come in January(Best case scenario) in lieu of April(Worst case scenario) :sly: BUT, if April means less issues and a higher quality product in the end, I can MORE than wait.

I took apart my GT2 last night and air spray/cleaned the entire interior. Seemed to make the loss of center issue slightly better actually(But after 5 laps or 10 minutes, it came back :/). I was able to do silverstone on F12011 pretty competitively with no ABS on. So, I can wait for the CSW, but would like it now(like everyone else lol :dopey:)

I am once again, a happy Fanatec customer! I also ordered an extra load cell for just in case down the road.

UPDATE 2:
I'm really amazed, all that talk about bad CS and everything...

Posting video to internet makes wonders for customer support :)
But seriously I have only got good service from fanatec even as I did not post videos to net :) ( I actually got to keep my broken wheel as spare parts after they sent me new. Now I have repaired old wheel myself.)

Glad to hear you guys are getting your gear sorted out, now that Darin at ISR has quit working for Fanatec I wonder how CS will be for us in NA?

Why do you all credit Darin for Fanatec's CS improvement?
It's not Darin who made Fanatec better, it's the company CEO who's actively involved in community. ;)

Thomas is the reason Fanatec's CS has improved, he saw what was wrong and he made an effort to fix the issues Fanatec had.

Thomas could teach many people how to lead a company. 👍

Please give your example Energizerr. You say it's the best CS you've ever seen.

After experiencing the rough and smooth of Fanatec it would be nice to hear your experiences.

Sony is 1 example of bad CS, had my PS3 stuck there for 3 weeks, had to call them every week to remind them that my PS3 needs fixing and the girl who worked at the official Sony store responded to me (asking for help since my PS3 was dead) simply by giving me a visitcard of service.
So yes, that's my experience with bad CS.

And with Fanatec there are people who are over 3000km away and who respond to my problem within 24 hours.

Don't know about you but that's good CS to me, and the best one I've seen so far in my 18 years of life.

The bad CS I Sony is the reason I replaced the blu-ray player drive assembly with lens myself. I have a 60GB Fat ps3 with 4 USB, card reader and PS2 support. Hence I didn't want to risk them sending a different and inferior system back.
Then my account got hacked and 100 dollars was written off of my dads visa which was coupled to it at the time. I called them up and asked what to do. They would start an investigation and I got the advice to call visa had have them recall it all. Forgot how it was called in English exactly. Anyhow due to that my account got banned cause it was not allowed according to their contract rules. Or end user license agreement. They investigated but then they called back saying I would not get my account back as a perm ban was a perm ban. Plus they don't have any evidence of someone saying to me to recall the money transfer from visa to Sony. Although that is odd since the tape said that the conversation was recorded and logged each time.

So yeah, I agree that Sony CS simply sucks. Rather than customer support I'd call it company defense support in such cases. As they exist to defend the company from as much harm from troubles with customers as possible.

Wow Logi...that sucks.
Oh, off topic but Sony stole £12 from my PSN less than 1 month ago. 👍

Back in August I bought PS+, and it never notified me that auto-renewal is on by default, so while my PS3 was off my subscription got renewed.
Really sad that a big company such as Sony has come this low that they have to steal 12 petty pounds from an unsuspecting customer.

With any laser now these days it is bound to fail sooner or later. Back in the early days of the compact disc the laser lens was made out of glass this was until I think the nineties when they had to cut costs when demand came bigger but only at a lower price point. What they did is that they switched from glass to plastic for the lens. Plastic is less resistant to heat thus the laser slowly but surely melts the plastic lens a tiny bit causing a microscopic small misalignment. This causes it not to read the disc anymore and making it blind. When opening the thing you can see the laser head go up and down an sometimes hear it tap the disc like a blind man feeling around for his surroundings.
So yeah, sometimes your lucky if you have a good plastic lens and therefor it will take longer to reach this point, or at other times you get the issue early on. And it doesn't matter I'd it's a cd, DVD, hd-DVD, blu-ray player or burner.
I still have an 80's CD player that works flawlessly here. It's a Philips CD-360 if I am correct. It's still from a time where quality mattered more then it does today to companies.
