Great idea w tie wrapping, looking for some right now.

As far as canned air is concernes, i hate it, causes too much moisture.
I use an eye glass cleaning cloth for cleaning the HES sensors. Pull it tight and slide it between the pin and circuit sensor.

as for the sensors problems are usually caused by the soldered wires at the sensor board area - when we move the pedals up and down over time the wires will eventually break off - i solved the problem with mine by installing a tywrapp to hold the wire near the pedal - this will eliminate the wire breaking off at the soldered point

Wouldn't happen to have a photo would you mate.

My replacement throttle sensor whilst having ample enough cable from pcb to pedal sensor didn't seem to have enough slack to achieve what you have done.

I thought of cable ties to secure to the cable to the pedal arm but felt I would have put more pressure on the solders when I tie it. If that makes any sense.
I felt maybe an extra 10/15 mm of cable would have given better slack to try it.

Spag, take your pcb mounting plate off. You may be able to reroute which way the wires are placed in there. Also, shift the whole plate over a screw hole and you may end up with enough slack. Downside is, only one screw is now holding your pcb and mount plate to the pedals, but mine have been this way for a few months now with no issues.

Cheers mate. A replacement is already on its way and I would look to finally crack this problem.

As it happens I only play Forza ATM and there's an in game option to add external deadzone to the throttle. But of a result that. So I may continue to use the faulty cable until I either want to play something else or it completely fails on me.

Good ideas though Caz.

Do replacement sensors come with wires aswell? I havent had to order any. Iirc one of the wires is slightly longer than the other, if the short one is the one that keeps going use the longer replacement ( duh! Lol)

Has anyone found a source for the molex connectors used?

Yes replacements come with the wire to connect between PCB and magnet. The whole component.

When my first set went bust, the wires were soldered straight to the sensor board.

The first replacement had a connector block set into the sensor. I thought that was the end of my worrys as Fanatec had obviously recognised an issue with the old system. Alas the replacement now shows an issue. At least I hope it's the sensor cable and not any degradation on the PCB end of things.

Hi, I have CSP's and I got them 11 months ago. These things are the best when the work, but temperamental as hell. I've had to contact Fanatec support 4-5 times for 6 issues, they've sent me new Hall sensors 3 times and the gas sometimes is still a little bitchy. Fanatec support has been great.

One thing that helped a lot, at 6 months I took the things apart 100% piece by piece and cleaned everything and lubed (wd40) the brake foam plug. Then I mounted the pedals (hard mount) under my desk upside down. I haven't had to do much since then. I think that when I got the pedals, one of the magnets was off and though the allen head set screw was tight, it being off caused many of my issues.

Taking these apart and putting them back together took a little bit of time and a lot of patience. WRITE DOWN where each piece came from and be organized as there are a ton of little pieces. I used sticky notes and put things in areas for each part of the pedals (brake parts here, clutch parts here etc). Hope this helps, don't be afraid to take these things apart, they are totally modular!

ive noticed quite a few people have csp's here, well i just got some and noticed some lateral/sideways wobble/play in accelerator pedal, other pedals are rock solid. now i took the spring and pedal plate off and theres still wobble, it seems like theres wobble between the gold/brass bushes and the shaft they sit on. i was wondering if anyone else has noticed this on theirs?

here it is now ive held the camera the wrong way just put it on 1080p and full screen please.

ive put it back together and used it for about 10 mins on gt5 and now the pedals makes a loud squeak when using it

Lol not only is my brake applying itself but my clutch has stopped working. It was weird it wss like the clutch was slipping like a worn clutch in a real car. The sounds of the engine were all wrong when changing gear. Alot of reving but car was not picking up speed. cant believe it the has only had 40 mins play time and they are brand new. Will be mailing fanatec today.

Squeaky pedals- hit them with WD40. Not much and only where those bushings are.

Mine have a little lateral play as well, but I only notice it if I look for it. Racing it's not a problem.

ive rebuilt them and they seem to be working ok, i had to lube the metal magnetic pins to get rid of the squeak, left the magnet end and the other edge and just put lube on the sides.

tell you sumet my pedals feel and sound much more solid and quiet now to when i got them. lubed all pins/bars/foam. also sorted the loose bushes by actually moving the positions of the two adjuster nuts behind the gas pedal. now it has less throw and theres virtually no wobble when stationary and zero wobble when using it......

wow what a experience tho....my back is aching badly after sitting on the floor dismantling these things.

Replacement arrived. Throttle sensor replaced and all is ok again.

Pretty good service. I notified fanatec last Tuesday I think.

Glad for you, I'm still waiting on reply..(11days without answer)

Looks like the 1st complaint mails are answered fast but when the 1st spare part doesn't fix the problem it take "ages" :grumpy:

One of our fellow members has found that apparently some internet providers (AT&T, Yahoo) block emails from the fanatec and 911wheel domains. If you send a support request to Fanatec, you should receive an automated answer within a day. If you don't receive such a confirmation then possibly the email was blocked. Try to send the same email using a different email address (e.g. hotmail or gmail).

YOU MUST FOLLOW THIS LIST IN ORDER, or they reserve the right to put you to the back of the line so to say. I have had NO issues when following THIS protocol.

Yes I did..

And I was in conversation but "he" just stopped answering after the replacing loadcell was sent and I told it didn't fix the problem.
After a week I've sent a new mail icluding the history to e-upport again instead of replying in the conversation but again no suc6

got ya. i wish I could help ya out then. I actually just made a thread with all of that into in it. Seems like a LOT of customers do not know how or where to exactly turn when something arises.

thing is, if you DONT follow that list, you likely not hear anything for a while, if anything at all.....

Anybody having issues with Fanatec stuff, just head on over to www.nogripracing.com and find the hardware section and the thread devoted to Fanatec support. It's the unofficial resource for support. the mod in that thread has an ear over at Fanatec and gets stuff done.

His nick is Redi and he's awesome

This for US only probably..?

Just got a replay and apology due to the fact they're very busy answering tons of emails.

Replacement PCB's will be sent 👍

Quick ?

Is it ok to use a little WD-40 on the pedals as lubricant in lieu of taking them apart to clean and use gear oil? This may be a stupid question, just curious.

I'd say yes since no electronic equipment is on the actual rod/spring so there's nothing to get broken by wrong lubricant.
WD-40 would do just fine.

In the e-mail it stated I would get a main PCB (is the solution IMO) and brake PCB, just received the invoice of the goods that will be delivered Monday...Only states brake PCB :scared:

Let's hope I'm wrong about my troubleshooting and the brake PCB is the problem otherwise I'm have to mail again...

Thuesday the G-adapter will arrive so i can finally try out the CSR-Elite, with or without the Clubsports 👍

Did it not ship with an adapter?
Would really appreciate you trying your G25/27 pedals in any regard mate if that's possible.

Please post back your findings.

Nope, has to be ordered seperatly..
I'm borrowing a set of G-pedals if neccesary but hope I don't have to though...but if so, will post for sure..!

ok guys, I followed some instructions before to fix my gas issue and it worked..6 hours total playtime later and i have a new issue:

it seems when I have my foot off the pedal, the gas pedal is slightly engaged. Do i need to redo the magnet? I checked it and it seems screwed tight.

this has happened to me too on my new csps, try tightening the small grub screw on the gas pedal magnet holder, mine is actually already tight but the problem happens now and again.

Today the replacement brake pcb arrived but didn't fix my problem :ouch:
Just send another email to support for the replacement main pcb that support would also send but didn't...

Did give me the opportunity to hook up a set of Logitech G25's with the adapter that arrived last Monday. (ordered 5 Jan.)

Works perfectly, the CSR-E motors in the wheel rumbles when pressing the gas and stops when releasing so for now I'm happy 👍

Lets hope support answers quickly because I haven't been able to use the CSP's yet :grumpy: (ordered 17 Nov. 2011)
