Clubsports Clutch in GT5 not responding?

I recently received my Clubsports pedals + GT2 + 6 speed shifter and I have hooked it up to play GT5.

I selected Manual transmission from the options before racing but when I on the track I notice that when i press the clutch, its still in gear and I can apply throttle and still get acceleration. It seems like my clutch is not responding. I can switch gears on the hand shifter without even pressing the clutch.

Am I missing something? Do I need to do something physically or on the options for the clutch to respond the way it should in RL?

Thank you

Its just the one time; like as soon as the race starts. Someone here will confirm 👍

Odd. I did not have to do that with my csp's. Unless i did it unknowingly. I have never in fact heard that. Only for the g series wheels

If it works as supposed, you only have to press the clutch and your in MT. If you want seq transmission put the shifter in N and press left or right paddle. If you want to go back to MT just press the clutch.

I connected it to PC and ran the software test and noticed that all the pedals including the clutch seem to be responding to the test.

Again I connected to PS3 and same problem. When I am in MT, even when I have the snifter in neutral, I can still accelerate when pressing the throttle.

Do a test run.
  1. Wait on the start line
  2. Depress the clutch
  3. Hold it and press the throttle
  4. If everything works you should not move at all
  5. I'll have the standard pedals but I'll post a video later today.

I tried that last night and the car still moves when I have clutch pressed all the way.

Did you do any calibration or change any setting from out of the box when you first got your wheel/pedals?

I am wondering if I need to set something?

What car are you trying to use it with? If it is a car that doesn't have a clutch in real life, then it will not have one in GT5. At least that's how I remember it. It's been awhile since I played it, but maybe someone else can verify this.

When you tested your pedals on PC you did test them through the wheel.

Or did you plug them straight in to the PC via USB.

There is an issue apparently with the six speed shifter needing to be calibrated before you can use it. I was too cheap to buy the shifter when I bought my wheel, so I don't know how to do it off the top of my head (and so I can't use the clutch at all in GT5 :( ). But it is described in the manual which you can download from Fanatec's website, as well as I think being in the FAQ on their support page.

The first I did was calibrate the gear shifter as per the manual, other than that, nothing. As soon as I press the clutch I will be in manual mode. And as soon as I touch the paddles I'm in seq mode.

I wasnt aware of that. I am using an entry level Mazda which I got at the start of the GT career.

Does it have paddle shifters or an h pattern shifter? Just go to the cockpit view and see which it is. If it's a paddle shifting car then there is your problem.
