Clutch/H-shifter Seasonal TTs, RWD 400 PP & '60s American – June 04 to July 03, 2014

THREAD PURPOSE:

A space for clutch/H-shifter equipped wheel users to share Seasonal TT times...
...with fellow clutch & H-shifter users, hang out, and trade tips. :)

THREAD RULES:
Please take criticism/rants about GT6's clutch implementation to existing dedicated threads.
This thread is a space for clutch/H-shifter users who enjoy Seasonal events with them.

I'll be first admit that on more than one occasion the timing has invoked rig rage...
..even resulting in bent 80/20.

I'll also concede that it is less than realistic...
...but so are my wheel, clutch and brake pedals, and so on, and so on, and so on...
Aquired Taste: something that is not easily or immediately liked or appreciated.
-Merriam Webster Dictionary :sly:
PARTICIPATION AND POSTING PARAMETERS:

2 Classes (Only cars that have clutch/manual trans option IRL)

1. Tuned cars within corresponding Seasonal's limits.
or
2. Bone-stock cars, no oil change, only B/B adjustment allowed.
Tire change ok to conform to Seasonal if stock car doesn't have them.

See RWD & '60s American Seasonal TT OPs for more info about events.

Driving AIDs & ABS
No driving aids allowed except ABS optional for both Tuned & Bone Stock cars.

Posting
Please specify Event, Tuned or Bone-Stock car, ABS setting in post.

Verifiable posted times are nice, but not mandatory...
...not everyone can screenshot, take digital pics, and/or upload.

---------------------------------------------------------------
GT6 replay files, can be converted to video with a screen capture device...
...and uploaded to youtube upon request.

I can create a PSN list if there is sufficient interest.
My PSN for using Clutch & H-shifter is GTP_JogoAsobi

Nice work my friend! 👍
RWD Non-Racing car Super Lap 1:38.438 Now 1:37.502
All Aids off and with Manual Transmission and Clutch
In the Honda NSX R
Honda NSX Type R '02 (Seasonal Setup)

Definitely a faster time in this one for me, although I'm not a big fan of the track. Wanted to gold the final GT Academy event yesterday so as soon as I got gold that was me done :)

Great job on the time trial! I`ll see if I can beat your time later ;). I tried an Lotus Elise, but the straights are long on Apricot Hill, that the Elise lose alot of speed compared to other cars. But it`s great through the corners though.

Anyways, I`ll send you an FR later today, if thats okay with you.

1:06.245 in Sennas Lotus using H-shift.I only had silver before this try, there is more to come too.I turned ABS off and i think i had 3/5 or 5/7.Downshifting helps alot .

@LJ12 Yeah of course that's fine! It won't be too hard to beat
Forgot to play GT6 today... Hooked on TDU2 at the moment, and I'm sorry for my absence on GT6.

Really enjoy GT6, don't get me wrong, but I wanted to play a different type of driving game.

Although I will be playing GT6 tomorrow, so "beware" for my rather awful leader board times .

It's funny, because yesterday for the first time I wanted to do the new seasonals using the clutch and shifter before having seen this thread. Kind of a coincidence.

For the 60's one I used the Shelby GT350 and got a time of 1'20.002.

For the RR one I used the '02 NSX TypeR but I can't remember the exact time off the top of my head.

Ran tuned Suzuki GSX-R/4 '01 on Apricot Hill for a few laps.
1:32.350, No aids, 0 ABS, MT/C.

I'll put some more laps in this weekend, I think more time can be trimmed.

Clutch can be used with the non-custom 6-speed box. 👍
The 6-speed trans works pretty good with @r1roman 's tune.

Nice! 👍
I think I'll try those two myself later. :)

Did a 1:34.695 with my Lotus Elise '11 on Apricot Hill. I have a lot of practice left though. Only assist is ABS, and the rest is turned off.

Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta :dopey: (96.9% power, otherwise stock) Apricot Hill.

1:38.991 MT/C (ABS 1)

I found that hard! I'm very happy to achieve a gold time!! :gtpflag:
Great job! Now I want to try the 250GTB. (Forgot I had it in my garage :dunce:)

See if I can beat your time ;)

Tried these two cars tonight @Divinus, both Stock, No Aids, 0 ABS, MT/C.
I am about 2 seconds away from Gold on both, how the hell did you do that?

Great fun, though, I will keep trying to work on these two. 👍
Anyone wants a challenge, I recommend both these cars the way @Divinus ran them.

Tuned Suzuki GSX-R/4 '01 (standard trans) Apricot Hill

1:31.460 MT/C (ABS 1)

Good fun running these TT's MT/C 👍

Nice time! Tried to break into 1:31s but stuck at 1:32.076. :banghead:
Same tuned Suzuki GSX-R/4 '01, 6S non-custom trans., no aids, 0 ABS, MT/C

I tried the 5S standard box you used but the I found 3rd a tad to high for me.
Prob. because you carry more momentum. So I went back to the 6S non-custom box.

The 250 GTB sounds like fun, will try in main account, my GTP_ PSN doesn't have that kind of credits.

Awesome. I gotta get in on this! It's been waaaay too long since I played. :)

Hope to see you soon!

I think I lost one of the replays on my pc. I will need to wait until next weekend and ask someone to send it to me from the ps3. See post #29

I think the Silvia/Apricot Hill is this one that I attached. @MadMax maybe can provide a replay for Rome (I used the same car), but without clutch+H-shifter.

Here's my replay of that 1:20.980 lap:

Thanks, I'll need all the help I can get running these cars the way you guys did!

Had a go with the Silvia spec-R Aero (S15) '02, Apricot Hill.

1:38.818 Stock MT/C (0 ABS!!!)

Only managed to do it because of all the practice with the Ferrari. Not spinning out the rear wheels & losing time.
0 ABS is a first for me also!!

The Shelby GT350 Roma

1:21.788 Stock MT/C (ABS 1)

Traction on the cobbles & that left/right are problems!! I'll keep trying.

Also the Goodwood Hill Climb competition for UK

Aston Martin V12 Vantage. EDIT: RH TYRES

0:48.994 MT/C (ABS 1)

That was fun. Worth you all setting that up in arcade mode and having a go!!

A little OT, but I'll throw it out here.

After a couple of rounds on A-spec Intermediate @ Willow with GT40 MT/C tuned for Rome TT...
...I went back to the Int. A, NASCAR cup Willow event, CR payout is about the same.

Not hard to quickly reel in lead rodent with stock Nascar, no aids/0 ABS, MT/C, but still good fun.

Hey @JogoAsobi I finaly got the replay for Rome (Stock, ABS1). It's a bit late, but if you are still trying, it might help. I usually use different lines than Madmax. ;)

Thanks, I checked it out. 👍
I watched @MadMax's and your replays...
...like damn surgeons at work, so precise!!!

I will probably put some more time into these after today.
Giving Roma and Apricot Hill TT's another go (paddles) before registration ends today.
