Curious if they get the Monaco GP layout into the game casually.
Hoping for WRC stages, and wondering if they'll offer seasons like EA's did, or FH4 style. Wouldn't normally associate the Riveria with seasons other than 'sunny' but for the mountainous areas it'd be cool, although they could probably get away with just making really high parts snowy or icey like FH5?

10th June for gameplay from the influencers event they said, does seem early but at least they're not making us wait long for that, just the game.
Gameplay reveal embargo moved to tomorrow.

WTH, do they want to compete with soccer world championship?
A bit suspicious, moving the embargo one day, on the day it was supposed to be lifted...

A delayed game is better then a rushed one "Shigeru Miyamoto". Man I can't believe we will finally have nfs plus forza plus the crew (with offline play) + midnight club if also bikes could be there in it too. BMW M3 GTR, R34 GTR and maybe Jag Xj220 finally in Monaco in a good game. Take your time in making this Maverick Games, no drm and insta buy from me, from Steam. The plot of Clutch kind of also reminds me of NFS Heat too.

Not everything is a conspiracy. Basically all the content is ready to go (from the youtubers who visited the devs and press who played the game behind the scenes at SGF) but there is a clash with quite a few other games getting press coverage today (Fable & Alien Isolation 2 among them), so they pushed it all back a day so they don't get overlooked. The perils of launching a game during not-E3 season.

All of this stuff about custom interiors, yet no vr support. If i’m street racing and doing the whole, ‘meet,’ thing..it has to be in VR. This goes double for open world street racing.

Yet another game, which would have been a preorder, if they bothered with vr. Sadly, its probably another hard pass because its doubtful they will..

Plus a wee bit of Fast & Furious thrown in. If they have the Speed 12 I will be over the moon

It’s likely this.

Source: Work.

4pm tomorrow (UK time I presume as the devs are British)
16.00 BST is an industry sweet spot for embargo and trailer drops. EA’s news almost always drops at that time.

It’s 08.00 Los Angeles and 11.00 New York, so you catch all that traffic during breakfast/lunch as well as European post-work.

Not having a publisher probably cost them last week's exposure with the major shows by Sony, XBOX and the Summer Game Fest... And now most of the world will be distracted by the WC.

Yeah Mexico's opening ceremony will be occupying my big TV from 6.30pm today, so 2.5hrs of previewes and influencers if it's looking good. Maybe they'll find a publisher and we'll see trailer snippets during America's new ad/"hydration" breaks. But that would be expensive, maybe only Rockstar will say hi from Miami?

Their marketing seems fairly decent to me, are they using the success of Forza, possibly even the World Cup since so many people will be getting together? I'll certainly show my friends it in these hour long ad gaps between late matches if it's promising. Using a countdown, the announce trailer, podcasts, Summer Games trailer, now gameplay from over 6 months out with the promise of full podcasts dedicated to handling, even the music etc should be a good build up so everyone knows this title is coming.

Unless it's still got a lot of work to do and they're burying it with the World Cup?

Handling-wise, it feels exactly like you’d imagine a game from the Forza Horizon devs to handle. It’s perhaps pitched slightly closer to sim racing than Forza, but we’re not getting towards Gran Turismo or iRacing territory.

Looking very promising.
The grand prix circuit is absolutely there.
You can also get out of the car and walk around (in some places).

Anyone explaining the grappling hook yet? I think I'll just have to accept it and maybe point out to the upcoming WRC promoter how effective it could be for hairpins and future audiences if they can do some R&D.

The tech is apparently part of the storyline and has a few uses. I didn't want to read too much and spoil things yet.

DustinEden's video covers it pretty well, looks like the NOS of cornering; use it in some missions, not for racing, and optional in the free-roam thereafter, can live with that. Wonder what else we'll get, think we'll need EMPs.

This could be annoying depending on how easy/difficult it is to drift (I struggle in some games but not others)

The underground races, however, are scored very differently. Each car streams their performance live, and chat will ask the player to do certain tricks, like drift. Doing so will get you more viewers, as does passing through each checkpoint on the track. At the end, you're awarded more viewers based on your place in the race (obviously, first place gets the most viewers). The racer with the most viewers wins.

This puts a unique spin on the entire genre; in the hands-off preview we watched, the player got first place but just barely lost to the second-place racer because they got more viewers overall. You have to drive well and stylishly to win these underground races, and there's more strategy involved since you can skip checkpoints however you please. Taking a shortcut may ensure you get first place, but are you doing enough tricks to make up for the lost viewers?

There are a few other gadgets apart from the grapple and they have a skill tree.

Some extra stuff in the open world like giving rides around France to NPCs. Some of the game & story is in London.

As of right now the game looks to be very good. Hopefully they can continue on the path they are on and finish strong. I feel like they have the chance to be successful because of the space that EA has left due to no new NFS game.

Seems like it will have 16 player lobbies. The car count is low at 150, but customisation is probably what they've mainly focused on. Supposedly also has car meets and showrooms.

The story is also doable coop which is quite nice. From what I have seen, the handling looks very grid+FH. The visuals are good, but not groundbreaking.

However Monaco looks amazing due to its density. I think it will be the star of the show of the physics aren't janky. I hope they get it running smoothly which is a worry considering UE5.

Is the 150 car mark referring to this Eurogamer article, by any chance? Because if so, 150 cars is referring to Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, not Clutch.

DustinEden confirmed he asked the Devs about the Twingo MK1 spotted in traffic and whether it's also drivable and they confirmed it is. I wonder if that may hint at every traffic car being a drivable car.

Edit: his circuit race footage also shows a track that is very closely modelled on Zandvoorts layout.

I think it's pretty obvious where the game is set but I actually recognized an exact location.
It's the town hall of the village ''La Turbie'' which is located in the hills above Monaco (Monte Carlo).

Here it can be seen in the game reveal (minute 5:00) from the front:

Here's the street view of the exact spot IRL: Front

This is the backside of the building in the game reveal (minute 3:14):

I only been there twice, kinda funny to me how i instantly recognized it. The french number plates and the 'Riviera' name and the overall vibe probably helped my brain connecting the dots.

Btw sorry if this was already mentioned, I haven't read the article and comments yet lol:D
Well spotted, and it is on the map

I wonder how accurate the rest of the region is.

There's a lot of nice cars, spotted also a Duetto "Osso di Seppia" Alfa Romeo, which is only drivable in GT4.
I'm quite interested about this game, the only doubt it's the story, not a fan of the F&F/NFS genere of narration.

These are all the cars I have spotted as 'traffic cars':

Cars spotted in traffic:

Ford Focus RS MK1
Porsche Boxster
Renault Mégane RS 280
Renault Twingo MK1
Renault 4
Porsche 944
BMW M3 (E46)
BMW M3 (E36)
BMW M5 (E39)
BMW 850
Aston Martin DBX
Land Rover Defender
Alfa Romeo 4C

I Watched some of the gameplay clips yesterday. Graphics and lighting are nice, but Framerate was a little janky. Of course they mentioned that still a lot of polishing needs to be done. Im curious to see if they can get the Unreal engine running at a 100% stable framerate.
