To answer the question, most of the cars brought in from older GT games don't have cockpits modelled so they appear as black.

Unlike GT5 which had S for standard cars and P for premium along side the listings which told you something important, premium cars have more detail and a interior view.
In GT6 as a rule of thumb if a car as the "Gallery View" option available it is a premium.

Why can't they have a a few default dashes you can select for non premium cars, even if it's just with the standard big bumper cam dials.

And what about car after GT4 that don't have cockpits? What about cars that have cockpits in GT5 but their copies don't have cockpits? Really don't see how it's useless just because I was honest with him.

How exactly does your post help?

The only honest part of your post is that he is playing GT6. Your post just seems to be a cheap shot at GT6's expense and you are paying zero attention to actually being helpful.
