Spent a couple hours on the multi-player last night with this and I have to say I have mixed feelings about it. I love the weapons and everything you can do with them. I love the fact that you can dive and go prone. I love the fact that they kept Kill Confirmed in the game. But for some reason my character just seems VERY animated when he runs and shoots.....The movement doesn't seem natural...From the way he lumbers when he runs just seems goofy.
Gonna give it another go at it tonight but all in all I think its a great purchase. The detail of what you can do with the perks opens up alot of different ways to play the game. But since Im so used to having 7 different classes with MW3 is going to take some getting used to.
Also I would advise not to play in League play at first...unless you have a few of your buds on....These guys kicked my ass last night...Realy dont understand it, maybe someone in here can clear it up for me....
 
I always give every game a chance so I plan to rent this by the weekend if they have any in stock. I heard it has no co-op campaign so thats a huge bummer. They havent had a co-op campaign since WAW. The new zombie mode sounds fun where you can go city to city.
 
Haven't checked the co-op campaign...That would have been sweet..For some reason the game has a "Halo" feel to it..thats not necessary bad.....just unexpected......
 
I have to say, they do keep improving this game every time it comes out...I know its hard to keep buying the same ol COD every year but there are little things that keep getting better...For one, the sound...The sound effects in the multi player are like nothing I have ever heard...It's like its High Def sound....There is echos and depth of explosions...But on the flip side the sound of the guy telling you what the game is doing in the background drives me nuts especialy with the cheesy sound of a mic keying up and off..Also if your sitting in multi player and want to mute people..all you have to do is hit the mute button and a option of "mute all expept in part" comes up..Little things like this makes a differnce to me.......
 
I havent purchased a COD since WAW. Loved that 4 player co-op campaign and have pretty much been waiting until they put out another co-op campaign before purchasing another one. But I have rented every single COD since WAW. The campaigns are usually fun but I find myself getting bored quite quickly of the multiplayer. Especially since there are not vehicles you can control. Something about having vehicles controlled by real life people makes the games so much more fun for me. Just like in the Halo games and in BF3.
 
Im quite the opposite Camaroboy. I think Vehicles take the fun out of shooter games. If i want a vehicle game I will chose one that solely relys on it. I never really liked a game that tried to mix up both.

Plus COD maps arent big enough for vehicles.
 
So I am guessing you did not like COD3 or WAW? Because those both had vehicles that could be controlled by the players. Those were 2 of my favorite COD multiplayer games. I just dont see why they couldnt have some modes with vehicles and some without. Just like in BF3 and Halo. If you dont like maps with vehicles then you can pick the other modes. But to make a game with no land or air vehicles at all is just a bummer for me. I do still want to rent this but no one has it in at all right now.

I dont quite remember 3, but I actually did like WaW alot.. It was actually my favorite COD so far. It did have vehicles, but they werent a major part of the play style, like it is for BF3. I see what your getting at though. I just prefer to have m vehicle games seperate from my FPS's.
 
Thats understandable. I just wish more games would have them and if they do have vehicles they always have the option to play with and without them. That way everyone is happy.
 
I've reached 1st prestige level 30 so far and have got gold camo for the Vector, but have now decided I want to try and get gold on some other guns so have decided on the RPG, Five Seven, Executioner and Chicom, they should keep me busy for a while, especially with the Executioner being so awkward (but who doesn't want a gold shotgun shell firing pistol).

If anyone wants to play feel free to add me, I'm happy to play any game mode but mainly play CTF and Domination when on my own.
 
Anyone else notice the over use of cussing? I was shocked at first but got used to it lol.
 
Well it's a military fps so... good you got used to it! There's usually quite a fair amount of swearing in war movies... so I think it's perfectly acceptable in games!!!

What I was comparing it to was past COD titles. They never had no where near the amount. Thats all I was getting at.
 
Im going to add some of you guys today. I usually only play hardcore, but since my close friends picked up the game, and they only play core, I've been playing that more recently. I already have Kat added, so I guess the next here that I dont have would be Lukas lol.

I dont know how I got so sucked into hardcore, but since COD4 I've been playing it exclusively lol. Its weird jumping back into core.
 
I'm happy with both core and hardcore, I don't feel too much difference between the two apart from you die faster. I never really rely on my radar in core modes so I guess that's why I do OK in both.

Right now I'm on the search for an RPG triple kill, the last thing I need for gold camo. I've had so many hitmarkers it's getting rather annoying, it's hard enough finding 3 players within a few metres of eachother let alone practically right next to eachother. For some reason I never thought of trying hardcore, even though last time I went there to try and do the semtex stick challenge it missed and I got a triple teamkill. :ouch:
 
COD is my life. What you are saying is true. The movements and all not look so natural but still it is the best PC game for me. It’s so fun when you play for teams. Anyway you will use for it. And there are lots of hidden mystery tricks over there.

I am going to try again to rent this for the 360. Tried again over the holiday weekend with no luck. My wife bought it for the PS3 and has been playing quite a bit.
 
All you guys need to know is 'Chicom'. Get it, use it and laugh like a little school girl after each gunfight cause this gun is not even fair!

Yeah I have played it in 3d and for me it's to strong and there is no strength adjustmant.

Dangit, I pressed a button and it skipped to the concert! I will have to look on youtube to see unless you can do it over?

I've started using that gun a few games ago and it just mows people down, at first I thought the idea of a burst fire SMG was stupid but it still seems to fire faster than the others.

Any tips for zombies? I'm awful at it, my best so far is round 11 on Farm solo, I just can't keep my zombie trains together (they're so small they're not really trains). I think the mystery box hates me as well, I've used it about 50 times and the best gun I got was the Galil while every game my friends are going on about this Ray Gun which has avoided me.
 
@2121, try using that gun with Select fire (to enable Full Auto), Rapid Fire and Foregrip...........Talk about a One Man Army. Only guns that give me any challenge are the Shotguns.
 
I imagine you'd be almost invincible using them (I was using no attachments and still did well), I think I'd probably go with the Suppressor over the Foregrip though because I like to run round the map and take my enemies from behind so don't want to be seen on the radar. The only disadvantage this gun might have is that you have to be a bit more accurate rather than spraying all over the place.
