* Penn State WAS undefeated. The Nittany Lions will try to start a new win streak when the Washington Huskies visit Happy Valley.

* The Boise State Broncos have a solid player getting Heisman love. What can the Broncos do on Saturday night when the Nevada Wolfpack visit Boise State on the Blue Turf?

* After getting embarrassed last week, the Pittsburgh Panthers will try to get back to winning when they host the Virginia Cavaliers.

* The Utah Utes will try to ute-ilize their offense to knock the visiting BYU Cougars from the unbeaten ranks.

* The Washington State Cougars look to retain their great form when the Utah State Aggies go up to Wazzou.

I tried to look up North Dakota State for my good mate TB, but they don't play this week, unfortunately. Anyhow... this is your Week 11 of college football.

Enjoy this week's games!

Yep, bye week this week and some rest for Cam Miller's ankle.

At least I should still be able to catch the Bulldogs game. :D

Tonight will be the first reveal of the College Football Playoff rankings. We'll have to see who will make up this first-ever 12-team playoff after years of the four team CFP. These playoff rankings will change over time until we get to the end of the regular season. Now begins asking the question... Who's In?

I'll give the first reveal of the CFP rankings once I make a proper post about it.

Welcome to the first College Football Playoff rankings of 2024! Remember that we have an expanded playoff. We go from a four team playoff with two teams out... to now 12 teams getting in. So let me ask you for the first time... Who's In? Well, let's see who is in right now...

I have to see how ESPN will reveal the format, so this will be a learning experience for me.

If you care to comment or react, please do so.

[UPDATE/OMISSION] Boise State would be in as the highest-ranked team from a non Power 4 conference. Changes made.

I meant 10 vs. 7, not 10 vs. 6.

I want to talk about college football, so let's muse again!

* No. 2 Ohio State had no problem spanking the Purdue Boilermakers. Dolph Drago's Boilermakers fall to 1-8 on this 2024 college football season with a 45-0 demolition.

* Hey, WWE fans- remember The Undertaker? He was on commentary in the 2nd Half of this game between Florida at No. 5 Texas. It's probably fitting because Texas gave the Florida Gators The Last Ride (or the Tombstone Piledriver) in this game. Up 35-0 at the half, No. 5 Texas cruised to a 45-17 victory hosting lowly Florida.

* The Texas Southern Tigers played at the Alcorn State Braves. They were tied at 7-7 and even 14-14. Since? Alcorn State with a smashing 42-21 victory.

* There is a first time for everything... including losing. Georgia Tech brought the Miami Hurricanes to their first loss of the 2024 season with a 28-23 victory.

* Have you forgotten Michigan is the defending Champions in NCAA FBS this season? Doesn't seem that way considering just how far and how hard the Michigan Wolverines have fallen. The No. 8 Indiana Hoosiers are having perhaps their greatest ever season of college football and are undefeated heading into today. Indiana survives with a 20-15 victory hosting Michigan. So how about them hoo-hoo-Hoosiers? This is IU's first-win season football season in school history.

* The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs has only one loss heading into their match at the No. 16 Ole Miss Rebels. A rainy night in Oxford, Mississippi led to the Rebels taming dem' Dawgs from UGA. Ole Miss wins 28-10, defeating the highest-ranked team in program history by beating the 3rd-ranked team in the nation.

* The No. 17 Iowa State Cyclones had a pretty good season, then they kind of fell off. Kansas really helped them fall off, as the Jayhawks pulled the upset in a 45-36 victory at home.

* Did No. 25 Army remain undefeated when they went to North Texas? Yes. 14-3 victory for the Black Knights at the North Texas Mean Green.

* Alabama didn't get the memo that LSU is tough to play at. Easy money win for the Crimson Tide as it was "Roll Tide Roll" over the LSU Tigers 42-13. LSU is now 15-1 all-time in night games under Kirby Smart.

* Pittsburgh was an undefeated team. Now, they've fallen off. The Pittsburgh Panthers are now 7-2 on the season after falling to the visiting Virginia Cavaliers 24-19.

* The Boise State Broncos hosted the Nevada Wolfpack, and the Broncos won 28-21.

Many more games played than just these. Still, congratulations to all of this week's winners!

Overnight, the 9th ranked BYU Cougars played at their Holy War rivals, the Utah Utes. The BYU Cougars downed the Utah Utes 22-21. Utah's athletic director, Mark Harlan, was incredibly unimpressed. He felt the referees helped steal the game from the Utes trying to beat the Coogs. Either way, BYU is 9-0 with three games left on the season.

I was at the BSU game last night, they could've played a bit better IMO.

Happy Veterans Day! Here is a look at Week 12 in college football:

--- WEEK 12 PREVIEW ---
* Get your MACtion satisfaction Tuesday and Wednesday! TUES: Ball State at Buffalo, Western Michigan at Bowling Green State, and Central Michigan at Toledo. WED: Kent State at Miami University, Akron at Northern Illinois, and Eastern Michigan at Ohio.

* After East Carolina whacked Florida Atlantic last week at home, the Pirates look to survive the natural disaster known as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Thursday night in Tulsa.

* The UCLA Bruins stay on the Pacific Coast but will play at the Washington Huskies this Friday night.

* It is an Inner-forum rivalry as my Houston Cougars will be at Yard_Sale's Arizona Wildcats on Friday night. Houston can make it to a Bowl Game if they can win two out of their three remaining games.

* The Northwestern Wildcats are thinking upset when they host the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes. Funny enough, this game will be at Wrigley Field, home to Major League Baseball's Chicago Cubs.

* The 5th-ranked Texas Longhorns will go northeast to take on the Arkansas Razorback.

* Two different breeds of cat will clash in the Steel City when the 23rd-ranked Clemson Tigers meet the 18th-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers.

* The 20th-ranked Colorado Buffaloes host the Utah Utes.

* Jordan's Kentucky Wildcats will host the Murray State Racers in an in-state battle.

* No. 11 Alabama will welcome the Mercer Bears after Alabama got done whacking LSU on the road.

* The Hawaii/Hawai'i [Rainbow] Warriors will be playing earlier than usual when they head to the Utah State Aggies on Saturday afternoon.

* The No. 6 Penn State Nittany Lions will look to prevent the Purdue Boilermakers from an upset bid this Saturday in West Lafayette, IN.

* The 10th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish smashed Florida State last week. Now, they will try to take down the visiting Virginia Cavaliers.

* The Florida Gators look to trip up the 15th-ranked LSU Tigers in "The Swamp."

* The 12th-ranked Boise State Broncos will stampeded into San José, California to take on the San José State Spartans.

* The "Little Apple" will see their Kansas State Wildcats host the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday night.

* Oregon is atop the NCAA FBS college football standings. Will they stay there once they visit the Wisconsin Badgers?

* A top-ten, Prime Time match in the SEC is forthcoming as the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs host the No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers.

* The No. 9 BYU Cougars host the Kansas Jayhawks this Saturday night.

And there is your Week 12 Preview.

What happens when you go from winning your conference undefeated, then no-show in your Bowl Game and then do next to nothing the following season? People get fired. Florida State coach, Mike Norvelli fired the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach, Alex Atkins, defensive coordinator Adam Fuller, and receivers coach, Ron Dugans. The Seminoles' remaining schedule is vs. Charleston Southern and vs. Florida.

Enjoy the new week!

[OMISSION] TB's North Dakota State Bison will host the Missouri State Bears on Saturday afternoon.

The ranking thing is a bit confusing. I am setting up everything as far as playoff seeding is concerned. So what you are seeing is the playoff seeding vs. their regular rankings.

There are your latest rankings. Thank you for reading!

I haven't really followed much college football today, so this set of musings will be rather limited.

* On Friday night, my Houston Cougars fell hard at Yard_Sale's Arizona Wildcats. 24-3 was the score.

* In their home finale this season, the Texas Southern Tigers held off the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats with a 17-14 victory.

* ESPN College Gameday was at the University of Georgia. WWE superstar, Cody Rhodes, was there as the celebrity picker. The Tennessee Volunteers got eaten up by the 12th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs 31-17. Both teams are now 8-2.

* No. 24 LSU took a big loss at Florida. The Gators chomped into the Tigers with a 27-16 win. Three straight losses for LSU.

* You know who else has now lost three straight and has fallen like a rock? Pittsburgh. The Panthers had the visiting Clemson Tigers beat late. However, the Tigers proven their No. 20 ranking by beating the Panthers 24-20 thanks to some late game magic.

* Jordan's Kentucky Wildcats smashed the Murray State Racers at home 48-6.

* The Arkansas Razorbacks were thinking upset of the No. 3 Texas Rangers. buzzer Didn't happen. It was "Hook 'Em Horns" as Texas won 20-10.

* The BYU Cougars were 9-0 heading into tonight's match hosting the Kansas Jayhawks. By way of a 17-13 victory, BYU has finally been bested.

* Wisconsin looked to upset the top-ranked Oregon Ducks. Almost happened. Oregon leaves Madison, WI with a 16-13 victory. It's the first time since 2010 that Oregon has gone 11-0.

* North Dakota State had no problem with taming the visiting Missouri State Bears 59-21. I was going to report that NDSU lost on Saturday, but that was the North Dakota Fighting Hawks losing hosting the South Dakota Coyotes and losing 42-36. No worries- TB's NDSU Bison did good.

To all the other teams that did good this week, congratulations to all winners from this week!

North Dakota State had no problem with taming the visiting Missouri State Bears 59-21.
Big congrats to Griffin Crosa on becoming the all time leading scorer for NDSU!
North Dakota Fighting Hawks losing hosting the South Dakota Coyotes and losing 42-36.
That was South Dakota's first win in Grand Forks since 1985.

Do you need some college football in your life? Of course you do! Don't try to hide it! Let me get you mates ready for Week 13:

* Love you some MAC football? Well, come get your loving when all on Tuesday: Akron is at Kent State, Western Michigan is at Central Michigan, and Northern Illinois is at Miami University (OH).

* More MACtion! On Wednesday, Buffalo is at Eastern Michigan, and Ohio is at their in-state rivals at Toledo.

* North Carolina State heads out to Atlanta to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

* Friday has a trio of games for your enjoyment. We got the Temple Owls at the UTSA Roadrunners, Dolph Drago's Purdue Boilermakers at the Michigan State Spartans, and the UNLV Rebels at the San José State Spartans.

* Well, we're about to find out if the 5th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers are for real. Opposing them on the other side of the football field will be the 2nd-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. This game is at THE Ohio State University.

* The Miami Hurricanes are ready to rock at Hard Rock Stadium when they host the Demon Deacons of Wake Forest.

* The 11th-ranked Ole Miss Rebels will head into The Swamp to take on the Florida Gators.

* The Sam Houston State Bearkats will head out to meet the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. Please note Jacksonville State is in Alabama, not Florida.

* The Massachusetts Minutemen recently fired their coach. Their chances of upsetting the 12th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs at Noon Saturday are still fairly low.

* The UTEP Miners want a major win when they head to 7th-ranked Tennessee and taking on the Volunteers.

* I always think of our late GTPlanet friend, FoolKiller for any game involving Kentucky or Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers WKU will go on the road to take on the Liberty Flames.

* Speaking of Kentucky, Jordan want to know if the Kentucky Wildcats can upset the 3rd-ranked Texas Longhorns in Austin.

* The Florida State Seminoles can't possibly lose when the Charleston Southern Buccaneers visit Tallahassee! If they do lose to Charleston Southern, Florida State should be even more ashamed of themselves. The Seminoles could knock down only their second win of this season.

* The Rice Owls look to take the fire out of the UAB Blazers in Birmingham, AL.

* Put up your Dukes. The James Madison Dukes will head down to North Carolina to take on the Appalachian State Mountaineers.

* The TCU Horned Frogs will host Yard_Sale's Arizona Wildcats in Fort Worth, Texas.

* Rival states clash as the Jaguars of the University of South Alabama go to the Golden Eagles of the University of Southern Mississippi.

* Omnis' Florida Atlantic Owls will host the 49ers of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.

* CommanderBond's 4th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions will head to Minneapolis to meet the Golden Gophers.

* Undefeated no more, the 6th-ranked BYU Cougars will hit the road to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils.

* The 17th-ranked Colorado Buffaloes will fly out to Kansas City, MO to take on the Kansas Jayhawks.

* The Michigan Wolverines call the Big House home. Michigan will try to defend home against the Northwestern Wildcats.

* The Pittsburgh Panthers have fallen from grace after a strong start. Now, they'll have to try to stay strong when they visit the 19th-ranked Louisville Cardinals.

* Earlier this year, the 8th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish handed Navy their first loss of the season in East Rutherford, NJ. Now the Fighting Irish look to hand Army their first loss of the season in The Bronx at Yankee Stadium.

* There aren't too many things in Wyoming. Having said that, the Cowboys of Wyoming look to trip up the 13th-ranked Boise State Broncos.

* The only remaining proper Pac-12 teams will take each other on in Corvalis, Oregon. It's the 18th-ranked Washington State Cougars at the Oregon State Beavers.

* The Houston Cougars will host the Baylor Bears at lovely TDECU Stadium. Houston must win this game and then at BYU to make a Bowl Game this season.

* Two teams that wear crimson will clash in Norman, Oklahoma. It's the 10th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide at the Oklahoma Sooners.

* The 15th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies will head into the tough-to-play-at Auburn Tigers.

* The Battle for Los Angeles will happen at the legendary Rose Bowl. It will be the USCal Trojans at the UCLA Bruins.

* The North Dakota State Bison will stay in the Dakotas and meet the South Dakota Coyotes.

* The Tigers of Texas Southern University will play at the Golden Lions of the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

A news note to pass along is that Florida Atlantic University fired their head coach, Tom Herman, as they are winless in the AAC conference. FAU is dead last in the AAC standings at 2-8 overall and 0-6 in conference. Their only wins were at home against Florida International and at home against North Texas.

Enjoy this week of college football! Also, don't forget to stay tuned to this thread for the latest College Football Playoff rankings.

[OMISSION] FAU isn't the only school who fired their head coach recently. Charlotte and Massachusetts also fired their head coaches. So the game of Charlotte at FAU is among two schools who fired their coaches.

Get ready for another Saturday of college football. Take a look at as many games that interest you this weekend. Enjoy today's games!

Let's muse on college football.

* Is 5th-ranked Indiana for real? They faced a test in Columbus, OH at THE Ohio State Buckeyes. The 2nd-ranked Buckeyes had no problem whacking the Hoosiers. 38-15 was the final as the Hoosiers are no longer undefeated.

* It was a nail-biter in Minneapolis as the 4th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions took on the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Penn State survived with a 26-25 victory.

* Well, Jordan's Kentucky Wildcats paid a visit to the Texas Longhorns. And, uh... Texas delivered a Texas-size beating of the Wildcats. 31-14 was the final in Austin. Kentucky still has only one win in SEC play this season (Ole Miss).

* Florida State has been a hot mess. Their only win was against California. They can't possibly lose to even Charleston Southern, right? Well, they didn't. The Seminoles whacked the Buccaneers of Charleston Southern 41-7. People in YouTube comments said things like, "Florida State just upset Charleston Southern!" Florida State can make it back-to-back wins when the Florida Gators visit Florida State University. Speaking of Florida...

* Ole Miss went down to The Swamp, and... it didn't end well for the 9th-ranked Rebels. The Florida Gators threw a speed bump on the Ole Miss Rebels' Playoff hopes with a 24-17 win today. Florida is now Bowl Eligible now at 6-5 overall.

* SMU been ballin' since joining the ACC. The Mustangs clinched an ACC title berth by knocking off Virginia 33-7 at the Virginia Cavaliers.

* The other area team besides SMU, Texas Christian University, hosted the Arizona Wildcats. Yard_Sale's Arizona Wildcats lost bad at Texas Christian University, losing 49-28 to the Horned Frogs.

* Omnis's Florida Atlantic owls hosted Charlotte. The Charlotte 49ers got themselves a 39-27 win.

* Kennesaw State's Owls took down the Florida International Golden Panthers 27-26 at Kennesaw State.

* The other Big XII school in Arizona, however, did pretty well. The 21st-ranked Arizona State Sun Devils burned up the 14th-ranked BYU Cougars 28-21. BYU has now lost two straight after being previously unbeaten.

* Houston fell at home to Baylor 20-10 tonight. Houston won't be going to a Bowl Game. Houston's next game? It is at BYU.

* Notre Dame broke Navy this season. Now, the Fighting Irish broke Army. Notre Dame smashed the Army Black Knights 49-14 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx in New York City.

* Kansas handed Colorado a loss to fall to 8-3. The Kansas Jayhawks upset the 16th-ranked Colorado Buffaloes with a 37-21 victory.

* It's the "Crimson Bowl!" Oklahoma has been rather underwhelming in SEC play this season. However, the unranked Sooners did plenty of damage tonight at home. They smashed the Alabama Crimson Tide 24-3.

* The Texas Southern Tigers knocked off the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions 31-23.

* Sad day for TB's NDSU Bison. The South Dakota Coyotes took down the North Dakota State Bison 29-28 in Vermillion, SD.

Congratulations to these and all other winners from this week!

Ducks on a break, I totally forgot it was this week. Normally, I'd say we'll open a can of whoop *** on UW this week our biggest rival, but after last week against Wisconsin....I just hope we win, especially after last season.

Jerome

Why do we love college sports? Rivalries. This week has plenty of rivalries to be played out. Let's be honest- college rivalries hit different, unlike most pro rivalries. You talk about schools that just flat out don't like each other. You have students who aren't at all fans of certain schools they are opposed to. Rivalries in college are simply much more fun than in pro sports. I mean, stuff like the NFL's Bears vs. Packers, NBA's Lakers vs. Celtics, MLB's Yankees vs. Red Sox, or any other pro rivalry... all pale in comparison to most college rivalries. Pro rivalries just aren't as fun as the likes of Michigan vs. Ohio State, the Iron Bowl, the Egg Bowl, the Red River Rivalry, USCal vs. UCLA, the Army-Navy Game, and more. So if ever there is a week to care about college football, it's this one.

If that didn't get you excited for this week, maybe these matches will...

* Come get your MACtion satisfaction! Tuesday night has the Toledo Rockets at the Akron Zips, and the Kent State Golden Flashes will be at the Buffalo Bulls. Don't forget the next round of College Football Playoff rankings also on Tuesday...

* The #20 Tulane Green Wave have been balling in the American Athletic Conference this season. They'll be home on Thanksgiving Night trying not to get tripped up by the visiting Memphis Tigers.

* The 12th-ranked Boise State Broncos begin a busy Black Friday of college football. They'll be home hosting the Oregon State Beavers.

* Paul Bunyan's Axe is on the line as the Minnesota Golden Gophers visit the Wisconsin Badgers.

* A good Black College Football game will be played on Thanksgiving as the Tuskegee Golden Tigers of NCAA Division 2 will meet the Alabama State Hornets in Montgomery, Alabama.

* Also to be played on Thanksgiving... it's the Egg Bowl! The Mississippi State Bulldogs will be at their rival 9th-ranked Ole Miss Rebels this Friday.

* Clean, old-fashioned hate. You want it? You got it. The 10th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs host their rivals from Atlanta, the tricky Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. This is one of the classic rivalries in all of college football.

* It's the Big One. This is the rivalry that is the biggest and most intense in all of college football. One school calls their opponents "that school up north." The other calls their opponents "that school down south." Whatever you call it, it's Michigan vs. Ohio State. The Michigan Wolverines will try to play spoiler at their hated 2nd-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes this Saturday afternoon.

* Volunteer State pride is on the line. It's the 11th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers playing at the surprising Vanderbilt Commodores.

* Palmetto State pride is on the line when the 18th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks are at the 17th-ranked Clemson Tigers.

* In-state rivals in Illinois clash when the 25th-ranked Illinois Fighting Illini play at the Northwestern Wildcats.

* Jordan, your Kentucky Wildcats host the Louisville Cardinals. Bluegrass State pride is on the line in this one.

* It's Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns at the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.

* The Eastern Michigan Eagles will fly into Kalamazoo, Michigan to meet their rivals, the Western Michigan Broncos.

* One of college football's most unique rivalries, USCal vs. Notre Dame happens this Saturday. The 6th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a lot to play for while the USCal Trojans look to stun the Fighting Irish in Los Angeles.

* Iron Bowl, baby! What magic/madness will ensue when the Auburn Tigers try to upset the 7th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa?

* The Grand Canyon State's biggest rivalry has the Territorial Cup on the line. It's Yard_Sale's Arizona Wildcats hosting the 21st-ranked Arizona State Sun Devils.

* The state of North Carolina is ready for a huge tilt when the North Carolina Tar Heels host the North Carolina Wolfpack.

* It's the Battle of I-10 as the UTEP Miners will battle their rivals in Las Cruces, NM, the New Mexico State Aggies.

* The Hoosier State is ready for a big in-state rivalry. Dolph Drago's Purdue Boilermakers have had a tough 2024. Maybe upsetting No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers in their house will make Boiler Nation Boiler Up!.

* Sunshine State showdown. Florida State's woeful season can end on a happy note if the Seminoles can knock off the visiting Florida Gators.

* Jump_Ace's 1st-ranked Oregon Ducks welcome a pack of vicious Huskies from Seattle. Can the Washington Huskies pull an epic upset on the road?

* Win, and you're in... the SEC Championship Game, at least. FINALLY, one of my favorite rivalries is renewed as the 3rd-ranked Texas Longhorns play at one of the toughest places to play- the 15th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies and their 12th Man Advantage. The winner of this one meets Georgia in Atlanta for the SEC Championship next week.

* Virginia is for lovers! Well, no love will be shown when the Virginia Cavaliers travel to Blacksburg to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies.

* One of my favorite NCAA FCS rivalries is on Saturday- the Bayou Classic. To be played in New Orleans on Saturday, it's the Grambling State Tigers against the Southern Jaguars. It's one of the best Black College Football rivalries.

There are also a bunch of non-rivalry games coming up, including my Houston Cougars at the 9th-ranked BYU Cougars. Other than that, enjoy this most interesting, most intriguing, most exciting week of college football!

Elsewhere...

* Mack Brown has been fired as head coach of North Carolina. He intended to return for 2025, but he's been canned. Maybe Mack Brown can coach up another school that has a vacancy.

Enjoy the upcoming week!

This Friday feels like a Saturday. Enjoy all the Black Friday college football action you can handle today!

A lot of rivalry games and some decent regular season finales means you have plenty of reason to be excited about this Saturday. So go enjoy some college football today!

That Georgia/Georgia Tech game last night was a battle! Went to EIGHT OVERTIMES. Do yourself a favor and hunt down a highlights video.

Since the Bison have this week off, I guess I'll be watching the Northern Arizona/Abilene game to see who we'll be playing next weekend.

I usually make my musings later into the night, but I wanted to make light of Michigan at Ohio State. THE GAME. Michigan nailed a field goal with about 45 seconds left to stun No. 2 Ohio State 13-10. Afterwards, some Michigan players planted the Michigan flag onto the Ohio State "O," and it led to some post-game scuffles. You understand it's a rivalry and all, but you win with class and lose with class. I didn't get to see Michigan at Ohio State, but I did see most of the end of it.

I may make light to other games in later posts.

I am usually all of celebrating TDs and big wins but I don't care about the flag planting thing. It's a bit much to me. That said I think the OSU players were out of line. If they didn't want the Michigan players trying to plant a flag WIN THE GAME

A few more musings. A lot more, really...

* The big match this week was between Texas at Texas A&M. For the first time since 2012, the Lone Star Showdown is reborn. Texas held a 17-0 lead at the half. Not even the 12th Man Advantage could help the Texas A&M Aggies take down their rivals from Austin. College Station was unhappy as the Longhorns won 17-7 at TAMU.

* The 2024 Bayou Classic went in favor of the Southern Jaguars, 24-14 over their rivals, the Grambling State Tigers. This is now three straight wins for Southern defeating Grambling State. Grambling State falls to 5-7, and Southern improved to 8-4. Southern leads the SWAC West division while the Jackson State Tigers lead the SWAC East division at 10-2.

* GTPlanet... go B1G or go home. Jump_Ace's Oregon Ducks whacks Washington at home 49-21. They'll await whomever their B1G Championship opponent is next week. Tough time for the Huskies on this day.

* That B1G Conference Championship contender is... Penn State. No. 4 Penn State or our CommanderBond had no problem slapping around Maryland - today in Happy Valley.

Elsewhere in the B1G... uh, Dolph Drago's Purdue Boilermakers fell HARD in Bloomington, IN. This battle of Indiana schools went to Indiana by a score of 66-0. Purdue finishes this season 1-11 and winless in conference. On to Purdue basketball, methinks...

* DOWN GOES MIAMI (FL)! It wasn't a happy trip to the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY as the Orange stunned the 6th-ranked Miami Hurricanes 42-38 at home.

* The 5th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish took down their rival USCal Trojans 49-35.

* Dang, Omnis... your Florida Atlantic Owls ain't never scared of no Golden Hurricane. FAU smashes Tulsa on the road 63-16.

* The Palmetto State had a nice little rivalry as 15th-ranked South Carolina traveled to No. 12 Clemson. The Tigers were stunned by the South Carolina Gamecocks 17-14.

* That was South Carolina. What happened in North Carolina? It was the North Carolina Tar Heels hosting the North Carolina State Wolfpack. North Carolina State exploded for 22 points in the 4th Quarter to sink the Tar Heels 35-30.

* How about another Southern state? Like, the Bluegrass State? Well today, the football kings of the Bluegrass State wears red. Louisville Cardinals hammered Jordan's Kentucky Wildcats by a palindrome score of 41-14.

* Florida State's pathetic 2024 season ended by hosting the Florida Gators. The Gators chomped into the Seminoles with a 31-11 smashing. From undefeated ACC Champs last year to being a no-show in their Bowl Game last season and winning a grand total of two games in 2024, Florida State has become one of the most embarrassing programs in college football.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week's games!

I've watched probably all of a quarter of Purdue's football games this year. I usually just check out the score at the end of the day and have a chuckle. The basketball season has been going much better, even if they blow 17 point leads...At least they still won last night despite doing just that.
