I like it. It matches my helmet. And, to be frank, Azuremen complains about fonts a lot, it's nothing new.

At least it's not Indigo, confusing everyone who assumes Famine's arrived on the scene. :D

I can barely read your posts on my 22'' monitor. But everybody`s free to use available fonts, colours and sizes.

Or, are you the next Azuremen, asking me to change the font, indirectly?

Lastly, did you see what I did there?

1. Don't drag other members into your argument. That's bad taste, especially if you're going to do so in a negative light.

2. Don't ask other members to "see what I did there"? You're not a performance artist in the employ of GTPlanet.

I hate when people type like this. :yuck:

I Mean, there's so many better options. :p

Right?

Famine's font/colour combination makes sense. It's down to readability. Pretty much all the other styles you'll encounter on the site only serve to make it harder to read the words contained within. I've no idea why that's desired; some people are under the impression it makes their posts, and therefore their presence around here, more visible and memorable. Personally, I'm more likely to remember a user based on the contents of their posts, not whatever colours they decide to dress them in. But hey, YMMV.

I only post using the Bold and Italics', because I find the standard format quite uninteresting. :p

Can you feel it? :sly:

Oh hi. Again. Have you considered maybe there is a reason I, and others, complain about font choices? Could it be that we all have realized that "unique" font combos are rarely easier to read? Perhaps we are just trying to be helpful, and we certainly aren't jealous.

Besides, you are already memorable enough as is due to your posting "habits" alone. Special font need not apply.

So, what you are trying to say is that we should all use Comic Sans?

:p

While black text on white backdrop has high contrast, I find that reducing the contrast a tad makes it less eye-straining over a period of time. That's one manifested reason of mine over using coloured posts for over 2 years.

After browsing on my phone, I wondered what the fuss was about. Now viewing it on my laptop, I can see why the negative take on it. And rightly so. I'm sure the novelty will wear off, after selecting text and changing the font and colour for the 50th time that day...

I recently dropped posting in bold dark orange coloured text after using it for over a year. I know one member said it was easy to read which I agree with, but I felt I'd used it more than enough by that point. I only stuck with it because it matched the colour of one of my previous avatars, which I no longer use.

Your current colour is easier on the eye than the previous one you used. Mr Mel's font may not be great in terms of clarity, but on my laptop it's less of a strain on my eyes than bold black italics.

Note that "Garamond" is not a "web safe" font, and most people who see your posts will not see it as you intended. Here's what it looks like on a Mac (a squished, bold Times New Roman).

If its much worse in windows than the font I see on my Mac, as Jordan has just posted, I feel sorry for those trying to read your posts MrMel.

That's pretty much the entire site then.

Mel, your font is very difficult to read, and I'm not sure why. All I know is that after 10 seconds my eyes hurt. I recommend a different font. :)

Hey guys, should I start posting like this?

Apparently Garomond doesn't work on WP8, either.

And would purple be easier or harder to read? I started it to match a pony, ended up keeping it because I just like it. Never bothered on my phone, though.
