I do agree, it could be a really beautiful thing. American events could show a map of the US with the style of "Life with Playstation". Then if they incorporate Google Earth to draw you down from space to the Indy track itself.

The Singapore Street Circuit [at night] could probably be seen from space!

We are in a new era of Gran Turismo. I can't see going "backwards" to a map.

I sure hope GT5 uses a Map type interface for GT (career) mode, I see the current My page interface to be used after the intro where you choose how you want to play (Arcade, Online, Time Trials, GT mode, Replay, Options etc). When you choose GT mode you go into the map type interface. Thats how I think it will be anyway.

+1

Besides as much as the current layout looks very neat and stylish after whats it been 5 months it's starting to look a little dull, or at least I need a bit of a change, I dunno I think that the world interface done in a GT5P kind of art direction would look even more impresive.

Almost a year for myself and many of us (Japanese demo, then JP GT5P release)

I was hoping the parking garage would have been in the rotation of back ground locations but it only appears once after the intro.

Yeah that's a great Layout for the Game interface, plus it just adds a little something to it as well I think, GT4 was a great demonstration of this idea, I also hope they stick to something similar.👍

Iam only saying because there are things in a game which should stay original like the map its like getting rid of the mario jumping sound, it will never happend and the Gran turismo map is a trademark, but i really cant see how someone would think that the Prologue menu is better then Gran turismo 4's map.

I love gran turismo games my favorite racing series of all but after reading that most the work is going into Gran turismo 5 prologue and that is why GT5 is pushed back to 2010 i have lost my nerve seriously I have bought Gran turismo 5 prologue played it its on ATM and have gotten over it I personally think they should leave Prologue now or just minimise work and put 90% of staff onto the actual game because personally Id find it more interesting receiving a game with 900 cars and 60 Tracks then receiving a 1 car update or basic game changes every 6 months and this causing an amazing game to be delayed
What is your opinion on this?

Nice Sentance! ;)

I don't mind if they take more time working on Prologue, if it means that GT5 will have all the kinks worked out of it before release. I do wish they'd add more content (tracks especially) to Prologue though, especially if they say that 90% of their resources are focusing on it. Hopefully the upcoming update(s) will be satisfactory. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have the full GT5 game today, who wouldn't? Making THE driving/racing game, the best ever made, doesn't happen overnight. Patience.

And to specifically address your point about it delaying the full GT5, I think that is incorrect. Much of the work they are putting into Prologue will go towards the final GT5 product. There are many features they are still working on, and plan to add in future updates of Prologue. If they aren't yet ready to be released in Prologue, what makes you think they'd be ready to be put into a finished GT5 product? Again, I don't believe this is delaying GT5.

Be nice if they would add a feature to online where our stats are stored & could compare them to others. OH wait F1CE did that 2 years ago.:dunce:

Do we really need another thread like this? Chewing out PD.

dazzi, all the work they're putting into gt5p can be used for gt5 too. They'll call it gt5p untill they think it's perfect, then they'll release it as GT5 with a hell of a lot more cars and tracks.
