I haven't heard of the Quadro before. With the Duo already kicking AMD's pants, how powerful is this thing going to be?

I'd wait to see some benchmarks before you start drooling. As I understand it the number of cores doesn't really scale well in current PC hardware or software, so doubling the number of cores may not yield an appreciable increase in performance. Perhaps in certain tailor-made circumstances you could see something, but in most real world tasks I think the difference will be pretty small.

Both articles about a month old. First news of the Quad was like as soon as they released Core 2.
