I can't believe this crap. Are the cops out there looking for killers? Are they out there stopping drug dealers? Are they out there stopping rape, and violence, and theft? NO.

The retards are out there handing out $500 tickets to any joggers who run through the park at over 10km/h because they are 'disturbing the squirrels' when the squirrels are screwing.

We just had a 9 year old girl abducted and killed not long ago, and just today they found the body of a 15 year old kid in a dump not even 20 mins away from my house.

What a joke this is. It's nice to see that the squirrels are not disturbed when they are ****ing because everyone knows that is more important than finding the sick bastards who are chopping up kids and dumping their bodies all around southern-Ontario.

Not only that but I mean come on, that's $500 cause you stopped the squirrel from blowin a nut. ;) (heh)

I am glad to see my tax dollars at work. That's Toronto for you. I almost feel like moving to Quebec. (Almost, it's not quite that bad yet. That is absolute last resort.)
 
yeah, its a ridiculous story but cops are thick as **** the world over....here they would much rather stop you for dropping litter rather than raiding the drug dealers and murderers..

I mean that they look past the real needs and concentrate on trivial things. Much like cops who find a shady tree to sit under and then haul out the speeding gun to trap motorists going 78kph in a 70kph zone. Tracking down hijacking syndicates is pretty trivial work when compared to the lives they save under the same-said tree :irked:

And dont under-estimate those squirrels either. They are highly efficient creatures.
 
Not very cool if this is a April Fools joke. Not only is this a trusted national news paper but this also is not somthing to be joking about. We are having a problem with a lot of kids getting killed and a lot of people going missing and this is the last thing they need to be joking about. Like I said, they found a dead kid a stones throw away from my house, and now I am supposed to be laughing at how police are supposivly doing this? Not funny.

Edit: Speaking of April fools jokes, we have these screens at work showing the latest headlines. This morning I saw 'Simpsons on Strike due to contract issues' I was all like :odd: and stuff.
 
Tell me a joke about how the Prime Minister is actually a woman in drag. Tell me a joke about how they are thinking about imposing a ban on walking and chewing gum. Don't tell me they are wasting police services when right now there are kids turning up dead left and right everyday (especially when they just found one in my backyard).

scary thing is, that girl was dumped in the river near my house...I used to ride my bike out in the woods and trails that followed that area. Scary **** man. Just a few months back, I was mugged right in front of my house - and that living in a nice neighborhood. Wtf is happening to toronto anyways? People are driving like bigger asses daily and NOW, they go out and start killing people? I remember when I first moved here, there were one or 2 cases of road rage at the mall during christmas shopping season and people nearly got shot fighting over frickin parking spaces!
 
This city is going to hell. I feel sorry for Mayor Miller, because he has almost zero support from the federal and provincial governments to fix this city. People are getting murdered left and right in Scarbourogh, our roads have more holes than an artillery range.

Just on the news last night they did a story on road repair, and they were fixing a THREE METER WIDE pothole on the 401, one of if not the busiest highway in North America. And don't get me started on Steeles. That street is just simply pathetic in terms of it's condition.

And the Toronto Police really need more funds. We need more officers on the streets since a few hundred are expected to retire soon, and we need money to buy a helicopter. If the suburban police forces can get choppers, then why don't the Toronto police have one yet?

And what's with all the anti-semitism all of a sudden? I watch the news one night, and some houses five minutes away from me have swastikas all over them.

I have to agree with emad on people in this city, they all drive like selfish morons. And they don't get much better once they leave their cars.

Thank god I'm going to university (hopefully) outside of this city in a year...
 
yea, but you guys have cement roads for the most part. Up here, we have tarmac which needs to be repaved yearly but is really only done once every decade or so depending on the area :irked:
 
man your guy's police suck arse!!! if i lived there i couldnt trust them... id carry a bat maybe a 6 shooter aound the house if i lived there. man 20 mins away from your house they found that body...

What's even odder, is that grey squirrels are a non native species to the North American continent.

Yet, it's illegal for me to own one of these in the state of Rhode Island, and Conneticut.

And people wonder why the crime rate is exploding.

yeah i live like just down the street to where they found cecelia. its scary to think that the killer or killers could be still hanging around the area. i was at the memorial at the croatian church thing, its such a shame, i hope they find the bastard.

Toronto needs to shape up it's act. The old mayer really screwed things up for us. Remember when the sewers flooded several businesses after some morons clogged up the drains at the youth day celebrations? Such a mess.
 
speaking of mel, whatever happened to him...you never hear about him anymore

theres also alot of murders in the news latley...theyre all like gang related turf war kinda things...like i dont see the point fighting over your turf...
 
Mel right now is undergoing treatment for a serious illness. I'm 99% sure it's Lukemia, but nonetheless, it's very serious and it's taking all his energy to fight it now.

But I didn't like Mel Lastman one bit. All he ever did was go around the city saying how it's the best city in the world while it was (and still is) crumbling before our eyes!
 
In my town on the Spanish radio, they played a joke that gas would rise $3.80 this summer. A lot of people were really pissed.
