Component Cables for GT4

Component is the only way to get hd out of your playstation.period.
Component owns any other connection on ps2(component+optical).
There is no diffrence between component from monster cables and sony's(I have both).
There is no digital conection(hdmi)cable for ps2, and there wont be one, maybe ps3 will have that, but I would rather see iee1394 than hdmi or both.
Use search ppl this was discussed numerus times before.

RGB will do just as good, so if your TV has no component inputs but an RGB-capable Scart input (check manual), get an RGB cable for your PS2.

Im sorry I didnt specify, I meant in USA(we dont have scart here), becouse thats what we were talking about.
I dont think Pal version is getting 1080i, is it?

Well, I saw a DVI/HDTV cable on Mckleins site. So would it be possible to connect the PS2 directly to a LCD computer monitor, for example, that has DVI (like the Samsung SyncMaster or some other 17 or 19 inch computer screens) ?

That's correct, PAL has no HDTV- and no progressive mode.

i tried a monster cable from bestbuy, 40, 50 bucks, whatever it is...then i bought some $2 one from ebay (Search for 'component ps2'), and returned the monster cable one...looks exactly the same on my projector.

i'm using a 1280x720 lcd projector, panasonic ae700u
 
I cant seem to find want i want.

I would like to know if anyone knows of anywhere Brisbane, Australia where i can get Component or RGB connection for mt PS2. PLEASE HELP!!

I just figured i'd post some pics, if anyone was curious if buying component cables makes a noticeable difference without using an HDTV.
