Does anyone know how to contact the makers of gran turismo?

Do me a favour and think about technological limitations before you put finger to key again.

PD put everything they could into the PS2 to make GT4, Obviously with GT"5" and its far bigger discs they're going to want to put MORE cars and MORE tracks on, and with the by far increased processing and graphical power of the PS3 they will want to improve other aspects. Do you think NO-ONE on the PD crew has ever thought about changing weather conditions? Or more cars on the track? Or damage? Or do you perhaps think they've had all of these ideas already and couldn't manage it to the level they wanted on the now-ancient PS2? Hmm?

Perhaps you think people e-mailing them saying "I've got this great idea - let's have the Ferrari F40 in GT5." would assist them in some way? Or maybe the fact their e-mail address is virtually impossible to get hold of hints otherwise.

Better a smart arse than a dumbass.
 
I came to this site hoping to get some help, obviously I was wrong.
I thought this was supposed to be the best site for GT Fans, again obviously I was wrong, as all i've got criticism apart from Sti04 cheers Bud (new here did not know that)

what is everyones obsession with damage? I would rather have PD spend time on more car and track models.

damage makes it harder to use other cars as buffers and do ridiculous things that would probably kill you in the first place in reality.
 
Whoa, you want to add 6 fords and they don't even have the current corvette? And there have been volumes written on why no Ferrari, Lambo, or Porsche. Besides that, the trailers posted in other places on this site have "footage" of GT5 from the E3 show, that shows several of your wiches already being fulfilled! But I'm too lazy to find it and post it. Look in the "Things besides cars in GT5" thread, which is usually at the top of the que. To come back to my first comment, there is a huge list of forgetten cars that people have been putting together. That's probably been moved to the GT5 forum as well.
 
I put damage in as a lot of people are asking for it. not really bothered myself, but it would add a bit more relism to the game, and stop people just smashing off walls to slow down

You come onto this site, completely fail to look around, post rehashed ideas IN THE WRONG FORUM, and suddenly that's my fault? Tell me, what makes you think any of your ideas are new, innovative or as-yet-unthought-of by the game programmers? They're nice ideas, but nothing we've not seen 100 times before.

Why DO you think PD's e-mail addresses are so hard to get hold of? Hmm?


Last week, moderator approval of threads was active in this forum. Now it isn't. Last week this thread would not have made it through.

The Isle of Man TT is held entirly on public roads on the island, and while the TT is the only event to use the full route, certain sections are used for the Manx Road Rally held each year.

As an interesting sidenote, the Isle of Man has the only public roads in the UK without any speed limit. While the roads through the towns and villages on the island do have limits, those on most of the rest of the island are unlimited.

While part of the UK, the Isle of Man has its own Parliment (one of the oldest in the world) which sets the Islands traffic laws. The Transport Minister did try to get speed limits set on the whole island, the wonderful Manx people voted it down. The unlimited roads are still that, and remain a mecca for drivers and riders across the UK.

However the same minister has also said that he may revisit the idea in the future and that plans to limit other roads and introduce speed cameras will continue to be looked at.

i've said it once before, and i'll say it again. i like you famine. heh. its the truth man, with all those engineers and designers working for PD you can assure yourself that they are a helluva a lot smarter than most of us and they will think of everything imaginable until it is filtered out by hardware, development, and cost barriers. you better believe they are thinking of everything you can and more. later!

I can only answer for myself:

I would like damage for the extra challenge. For example, I'm currently driving the 1000 miles! challenge in the Euro hall in a stock Mazda 110S and I'm a few laps ahead of second place on the 'ring. Currently my only challenge is to see how fast I can make a lap in that car. If there was damage (even non modeled damage that only affects performance) then I would have to worry about messing up a turn, hitting the wall at some deadly speed, and loosing, say, 20mph off my top speed. This would make winning the race a bit harder.

I know PD couldn't do it for GT4 due to the PS2's limited performance so you won't hear me whining about it's absence in GT4. I do hope to see it in GT5 with the better PS3 system.

Famine is just a little ticked off. With good reason. You posted in the wrong forum(there is an entire gt5 forum), without checking to see if this subject has already been done (there's a 20 page plus topic on it)and almost every single item in your post has already been added to the "things wanted for gt5" thread. That title is not exact, I can't remember what the exact title of the thread is.

However, you're thoughts do matter. We aren't angry because you thought of some ideas, we're angry because you didn't pay attention to "rule number one". That being, making full use of the search button.

In the future, use the search button to find the topic you are looking for. Then post in there. At this stage in the game, there is ALMOST nothing that hasn't been said. So make sure you look very carefully.

If Kazunori had enough disk space and hardware performance, I would be 100% sure he would put every car he could think of, every track he could think of, any weather condition possible, and as many cars on the track as he wanted.

Then again, it's not on a 100 GB disk, and the PS2 isn't the most powerful machine on the earth..

Once again, it was NOT footage of GT5. It was footage of Vision GT.

There is absolutely no confirmation if its GT5 or just a bump-up on GT4 for the PS3.


Gosh, please stop calling it GT5 footage.
 
what's more incredulous is assuming that you actually somehow have bizzare and amazing insight into the industry and should obviously inform the industry leaders of this gross oversight. Or that you have the perfect coding solution to pack 80gb of data into a 4.7gb disc with no loading times or lag or jutters. Also a new way to reform the physical structure of the ps2 with your mind.

fact is, if you really knew this stuff, you would be doing it. not whining on an internet forum. everyone is an idea man, but the ideas are not the problem, it's the execution.

ignorance is a terrible, terrible waste of a human. oh wait, let's just blame other things instead, and try to fix those, flailing uselessly and wondering why nothing works. if people do stupid things, they should know it. /rant
