I was also using old school control's right up to GT5. But i got myself a pair of trigger attachements and they have completely switched the way i play! I now use:

Trigger's for brake and accelerate.

Left analouge for steering and D-pad for RA.

And i now use X and square for gear's which feels suprisingly comfortable. Hope this helps.

D-pad and buttons, I just got used to them by playing way to much GT when I was younger on the original PS.

Same here :sly: I tried changing it to triggers and analog steering, heck I even had a few go's with my friends G25, but I'm used to the buttons, that I can't make the change :dunce:

Glad to see I'm not the only one with a normal controller. Heck mine doesn't even vibrate and I still have fun with it. BTW -- I am new here and wanted to ask - is it me or does the High Speed Ring really resemble the "GT" logo? Pure coincidence or could PD have designed this original track to resemble their logo (or vice versa).

Analog for steering and triggers for the throttle and brake. Never enjoyed the x and o buttons or the dpad but i might give it a try

When not using a wheel, then the analogue sticks. They remind me of when I used to use 2-stick radios for RC cars.
