Maybe - but it's not the wording that gets me (though it does, slightly), it's the writing style. This simply was not printed in a newspaper.

The style and font suggest to me it's from the Daily Mirror.

You really should get hold of some of the lower-end British tabloids. They make the Enquirer look like Dickens.
