Fast times guys. I'm doing 1 23s right now. I need a few minor changes. I'm just not a good tuner. I wish i could tune. It'll help me a ton.
 
After a slight suspension 'experiment' I am now low 1:13s (almost a 1:12) to mid-1:14s but my tires went to 10-10-9-9 after like 5 laps. So I don't feel like my tire runs are going to last as long.

EDIT: Jumped into an online room with other (slower) cars on track. Overtaking is a nightmare but... 1:12.8XX :dopey:

Tyre wear is much better here but tyre wear affects lap time here a lot more than at other tracks so you could end up with people pitting a 7 instead of 5 just for lap times therefore the undercut.

Are you going full downforce?
That might help you out

What does the car feel like when going through the corner exits?

What car are you using?
 
Nice of you helping my team mate. :) We're in the Corvette. Stall will have to answer the other questions, don't know if he's using my setup or not.

The Corvette is coming along nicely. My Aero is up. I'm just having a few problems with the turns. I think i' losing 3 to 4 seconds in. Plus i practice on a strong slip stream. So come race day, i should be running 1 19 120s around there. Running a strong slip stream actually helps me, improve my Driving. Also helps you control your car a lot better. Yea, i'd say another 30 to 40 laps of practice i'll be good. I really can't practice that much on Saturday. It's going to be 75 degrees on Saturday. I'm not trying to spend my day in front of the PS3.
 
Slipstream only affects you when you're behind a car...:confused: Strong slipstream is overpowered when you're behind a car and real is more fair but don't affect lap times unless you're following somebody :confused:

there room settings may have been different though
 
Tyre wear is faster though. Finally got a setup which I'm comfortable with(cheers Zovo for the springs, it's epic). I'm doing 11.4s and I haven't been to GT Auto yet so I'm at 685HP.

With no tire/fuel wear you're running on empty tanks which make the car about 100 kg lighter so that helps a bit.

I didn't know it worked like that. I always assumed the faster times came from the fact that you can get the tyres properly up to temperature (about 5-10 minutes into a stint) without them wearing down and giving away the grip they gain?
 
I've always thought it was that it gives you no fuel but I could be wrong. I'm thinking the advantage you get is to large to be just warmer tyres.

edit: and the fact that you can do faster times from the first lap which shouldn't be affected by tyre warmup.
 
What time are the races? The opening post still refers to GMT. Will it be GMT OR BST?

Unless something changes, I'm out of this one. Comcast is to bring me a new router on Monday morning. As of last night, I'm without access to the web at home. A shame, because Laguna Seca is literally one of my most favorite tracks.

If I can bring my PS3 to a friend's house and they don't mind me hogging their tv set for a few hours, I'll be there.

That sucks Tati, hope it fixes itself or that you can go to a friends house. Our team need someone to fight with in the lower half of the field you know. :P

hit a 1:12.491 in CORE regs after the pit stop so I won't be slowing you guys down as much :lol:

Was tire wear on or off?? I was doing similar with wear off but with it on in low 1:13s to low 1:14s.
 
tyre wear was set to normal

EDIT: I noticed that the c60 isn't as fast on quali tyre sbut doesn't lose as much with race tyres on as the 908 does
