So have everyone ahead us made a decision yet? does anyone want that corvette? I think we're gonna have to stay loyal to our manufacturer so we won't use it. I know my team mate absolutely loves the corvette but I don't feel right changing car in the middle of a season.

(This will probably bite me in the *** when someone swoops in and takes that corvette and beats us to a pulp )

Drivers Brief

Track: Laguna Seca
Laps: 96
Weather: Clear and dry

Notes:

Pit in
This is the first time this season where the pit lines will be monitored, Pit in you must drive within the yellow lines, if you touch them then it will be a 30 sec penalty.

Pit exit
If you come out of the pits with full throttle then it will spit you out into the racing line, if this happens and you make contact with someone then you will receive a unsafe rejoin penalty. It is very easy to exit safely on the left hand side of the track.

GTE
Please keep an eye on your mirrors, although chozza got into trouble for last race it is not just the LMP’s responsability on track to keep the race clean, stick to your line and if an LMP is making it clear they are coming past do not swing across the track, a few GTE drivers did that last time out causing some issues and close moments.

This is the last of the American races, there is a month break after laguna before we move onto the European leg, Please make sure you keep your eyes open for more news and information from CORE about other racing that will be happening in the mean time.

A new update is out today so I recommend that everyone log in and download it and maybe try out their cars so that nothing have changed physics wise. :P Just so you don't get any nasty surprises on saturday.

I have not seen any real changes with the new update? Seems the same to me. I like the new best lap display in online lobby. I think the tyre glitch is still there.
 
I had the same experience when I tried it earlier. No obvious difference but really like seeing the top time again. :)
 
Adjustments to the Open Lobby

  • From the Member List, it is now possible to see the Performance Points, maximum output and weight of the cars that have joined the room.
  • An “Overall Best” time is now displayed on screen while in Practice, Qualifying, Time Trial and Drift Trial.
  • The minimum value for [Max Power Limit] and [Minimum Weight] has been changed from 10 to 1.
  • The options available in the [Race Type] menu within [Room Settings] of the “Event Settings” screen have been changed.
Other improvements and adjustments

  • The Traction Control System (TCS) which is activated when driving off-track is now used only in sand/gravel pits.
  • The strength of the “Real” option for the [Slipstream Strength] parameter within [Race Settings] when creating a room in [Open Lobby], has been weakened.

This suggests that we may not even need spec check when we can see what specs the cars are at in the lobby.

Why A51 say no, we were never asked :lol: we did want the spare Vette, it s better than ours :lol:
 
Ok seems me and stalliono hadn't really agreed there ^^ ok we're in the running for the corvette then, just have to wait for the others. :)
 
will you 2 please make up your mind, its either a yes or no and then wait your turn to see if anyone in front of you picks

Quick question on this, if one of the teams do decide to take the Corvette, what happens to their car?
I guess it will also get offered as a change, but will you continue the list from the team that chose (I.E. P24 take the Corvette (confirmed as not while typing but will keep the example), does it go back to FRT, or will it continue from TMBO)?
 
Setup changes work wonders! Now a 1:10.9 but still undecided what compression setting to use, the higher figure helps for the elevation change through the corkscrew and the corner preceding that. Most likely higher for more stability.

I will just continue down the list tbh lol I get the feeling the guys at the top of the list are dead set on the cars they have
 
Hey guys, last weekend my PS3 broke down and now I need a new disc reader. Because of that I don't know if I can make it to the next race :(
Can @jonnyb1990 maybe compete as a reserve driver if I can't make it? :)
 
I still love how this PS3 is still alive after all these years, only issue it had was when I plugged the charger for the controller in the wrong port causing it to stop working after a while which meant I had to buy a replacement cable. Seems loads of disc reader failures are happening now, my mate had it last summer but he was clever enough to wait for the PS4 instead.

I probably won't purchase the PS4, although this is already the second failure I had with my PS3... But let's see what GT7 brings, maybe I'll change my position.
 
I believe I'm racing Saturday so I may be able to drive a GTE on Sunday if needed.
 
I would have been available on Sunday had I not had commitments at 7-9.
