Should turn 10 of Special Stage Route 5 be called 'Double' or '5-11'?

I know it isn't being updated anymore, but I'll drop this here anyway...

Circuit: Special Stage Route 5
Layout (please specify if reverse): Full
Corner Number: 10...?
Corner Name Proposal: 5-11
Reason/story: Since I've found that it connected Route 5 to Route 11 in GT1 and GT3, I've been calling it 5-11.
It may be a track map from the GT5 Track Maps thread, but does it help pinpoint the location? I think it may be either the hairpin or the chicane before the on-ramp

I was talking about this one (with my paint-made red X over it):

I'm not sure if it's really Turn 10, but I mentioned it connected Route 5 to Route 11 in GT1 and GT3.

...Route 5 has never, ever been connected to Route 11.

The idea of connecting the two courses together at the hairpin is one that I believe spawned on GTP, in the thread discussing the "missing track list". As far as I know, it's never existed in any GT game, nore has it ever been mentioned in any official capacity by PD.

A BOY CAN DREAM!

I believe that 5 and 11 may actually be connected
I think there were some signs on the corners that indicated that
Pictures? I don't remember any myself, but could be wrong.

Also, just because there are signs indicating that SSR5 and SSRR11 may be located in close proximity in an imaginary city, that doesn't mean they ever were, or ever will be, actually connected together in the manor that most of us would wish for.

For an example of this, go on SSR5 in GT6. The the first long tunnel (left hander), there is an exit ramp on your right. Check the signage...it clearly says "Route 7", indicating that Route 7 might also be located in the same fictional city. But I see the signage as an environment modelling detail (much like the monkey and Nessy on Trial Mountain, or other little Easter Eggs), and not foreshadowing a massive "Special Stage City"

This vid shows a lap of SSR11 from GT3.

At 25 - 35 seconds, he is in the hairpin which many have proposed would connect SSR5 and 11 together. Ask yourself whether or note the environments actually match.
- SSR5 is located in the city center, SSR11 seems much more industrial (note the crains in the video).
- SSR5 hairpin is in a parking lot, whereas SSR11's hairpin is on an actual road (which follows the path of a hairpin...very unrealistic).
- SSR11 hairpin goes under an overpass. If it were connected to SSR5 at its hairpin, that overpass would lead directly into an office building. There is no corresponding elevated roadway on SSR5 to connect to.

Again, not saying that we can't dream of connecting the two tracks...I just don't think there's currently any evidence which suggest that PD has any plans or desire to do so.

Great points there but can we steer this back on track before the discussion gets out of hand please?

EDIT:

Circuit: Tokyo R246
Turns: 2-4
Proposal: Home Run
Reason:
This set of turns send you past three baseball fields.

After sending the ball out in a game of baseball, going for the points can turn out to be a frantic race to get home and changing direction around the bases can be a challenge in and of itself if you are running quickly enough. Turn 2 and 3 essentially constitute a chicane of sorts at the pace that is often experienced in Gran Turismo and keeping a road or formula car stable here is a challenge that can catch the best of us out.

The home run is turn 4, where efforts to keep your line clear can pay off to great extents as its prize is running the turn at the maximum speed that your car will allow.

Circuit: Tokyo R246
Turns: 8 & 9
Proposal: Palace
Reason: pretty sure the little straight between these two fast right handers is directly in front of the Imperial Palace. Not sure of its official name, but you can see it behind a fancy gate if you stop and look to your right.

A few suggestions for corners around Grand Valley. Taking inspiration from tracks like Catelunya, where they have brand/sponsor names for corners, I've named some of these corners after the gantries that span the track, specifically from GT1 and GT2.

Circuit: Grand Valley Speedway
Layout: Full
Turn/strait: turn 6
Proposal: Nissan
Reason/story: The Nissan gantry spanning at the exit of the corner.

Circuit: Grand Valley Speedway
Layout: Full
Turn/strait: turn 7
Proposal: Mazda
Reason/story: The Mazda gantry at the entry of the corner

Circuit: Grand Valley Speedway
Layout: Full
Turn/strait: turn 10
Proposal: Ralliart
Reason/story: The Ralliart signage at the tunnel entrance at the corner exit (can also be applied to the first tunnel)

Circuit: Grand Valley Speedway
Layout: Full
Turn/strait: turn 11
Proposal: Junction
Reason/story: Something a bit different, this corner is where the East track branches off to the right, creating in a way a junction between the two layouts (Short track right; full track left)

Circuit: Grand Valley Speedway
Layout: Full
Turn/strait: turn 12
Proposal: Mugen (or Mugen Tunnel)
Reason/story: Mugen signage at the tunnel/corner entrance

Circuit: Grand Valley Speedway
Layout: Full
Turn/strait: Straight (T) 2
Proposal: Bridge
Reason/story: self-explanatory

Circuit: Grand Valley Speedway
Layout: Full
Turn/strait: turn 13
Proposal: Monaco
Reason/story: The tunnel with the columns to the right reminds me of the tunnel corner of the Circuit de Monaco

Circuit:Cape Ring
Layout (please specify if reverse):Full, Periphery,North
Turn/strait number(s):In between 22 and 23
Name proposal:NO! (alternate name: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA)
Reason/story:What you shout going over it, as if you are not lined up, you may go into a spin.

Circuit: High Speed Ring
Layout: Forward
Turn/Straight: Turn 1
Name: Fontana
Reason/Story: Because the turn is so wide there are several lines you can take. When a pack of cars enters it, they all fan out! Just like Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. Plus, both turns look very similar.
