i raced this 62 chevy corvette z06 race car...i remember it from other gran turismo games, it isnt in any car lots

Don't know where you got your game but red_infinity is right if you want to win the 63 C2 Corvette race car. I'm kinda thinking this car you are talking about: a 1962 ZO6 Corvette, is a bit odd anyway. As in you aren't finding it because it doesn't exist?

YES - IT - IS!! I have no idea what you are thinking, but the prize car for the Vette! Vette! Vette! races is the 1963 Corvette Z06 Race Car. The regular '63 Corvette Sting Ray car can be bought in the Chevrolet Classic Car Dealership. So can the 2000 Corvette Race Car if that is the car you are thinking. There is NO other Corvette Race Car in the game! I hope that is plain enough for you.

Camaroboy IS right, the car you get for winning the Vette races at Chevrolet IS the 1963 Corvette Z06 race car. it is a split window coupe complete with racing decals and 600hp! It was my car of choice for the World Classics challenge in the pro league.
