For a 4banger to beat V8 muscle... you would have to have excessive and expensive mods done and your car would have to be as light as a feather for excellent power/weight transfer... plus the fact that you would need NOS to help your little car along. I have nothing against 4bangers or V8's, it's just with fuel prices really going up Japan and other countries in the Asian rim have to deal with the fact that gas is not cheap anymore... that's why we have 4bangers and V6ers here.. I'm starting to see more V6 engines on the road now because it's kind of a go-between here where i live having a 300C HEMI here would be suicide for the average joe... with super unleaded prices reaching (Php 39.00+) $0.69 here. it's really not advisable... It may not be much but the average time a car stands still in traffic here is about a good 2-3 hours and that burns up A LOT of gas... which brings us to the reason why there are few american cars in GT... they're expensive on gas.. if you wanted every american muscle car get one of the NFS games... I feel PD has done the best they can representing the American market as the can... If you were told to make an apple with sticks how would you do it? All cars are nice and are a luzury in some places.. so ease off if they haven't gotten your favorite car right... i mean look at it this way I hate the way the new physics engine models the ATTESSA of Skylines... WAAAAY too much understeer... but that's another story. Fin

Thats for how much, a liter? If so, that means that our gas prices are about the same. I paid $2.70 per Gallon for Super to put in my 67 Chevelle last weekend, which is 3.785 liters and about 150 Php.

What is the Octane rating in your super unleaded over there? Ours in 92, but I thought I saw a guy from Brittan on here last week saying their's was like 98.

It's just about the same around 92 -93... I drive a diesel SUV 100 Php gets me around that much.. even diesel prices are going up here just as much as Gas prices are...

IMO, if they're going to release this game in America, you'd think they better damn well make sure that they don't half ass the American car selection so that they can appeal to the public and attract more sales. But seeing as how people (producers/consumers) overlook American cars any how, I guess it wouldn't make much of a difference, allowing PD to get away with half assed POS American cars that sound like 4-bangers. Most people are in it for the imports and other reasons not revolving around American cars.

I will say this ONE last time. About two years ago. KY publically stated that he makes GT4 for HIM and no one else. But that if we come to like it he's very happy.
He puts the cars in HE wants, the features HE wants, and he just crosses his fingers that we like it. If we don't like it....too bad.

If that's what he said, then that's what he said, but it's a horrible buisness proposition and we (the public) should never have had Gran Turismo in the first place. K.Y. should have just had the game privately made for himself; it would have been a single-copy, 3 million dollar video game, but he'd have a game made exactly as he wanted it made.

To go into designing a game, the goal is to make it as cheap in the long run as one possibly can. The more copies it sells, the less gets spent out of pocket for the research & development people, the code writers, producers, et cetera. With that said, to sell to a lot of people you must meet what they desire or sales fall and the game doesn't continue on.

I hope that with this added pressure from Forza and other such car/racing games coming out that Gran Turismo either meets the requirements of the people, or folds. It would be perfectly fine with me if after Gran Turismo 5, they pulled the plug because the game competition was getting "too hot" to further develop it. Don't forget that with Forza's first installment, you can perform engine swaps. G.T. 5 better respond with some kind of hybrid type feature, or it won't sell and Forza will become the bar to which other games get measured with. In the video game industry, as many things in competition, it's either sink or swim. Competition weeds out the weak.

If anything the 2005 Mustang is very very underrated. I raced the 97 Z28 vs that new Mustang and it killed it. Wtf? That shouldn't happen, it should at least be close to the 02 SS or beating it.

Althought I kind of figured this was going to happen, but they also didn't underrate the 69 Z/28. It's literally 296 hp instead of the close to 400 the car really had. They really need some kind of American representative and a European representative to help make this game right.
Actually, a '97 Z/28 makes about 300hp stock, with ram air. The Mustang GT makes 300...why shouldn't the Z/28 keep up?

And the original Z/28 never made 400hp except in Trans Am racing trim (not stock car). It actually made no more than 350 or so, and that's in gross horsepower. In BHP, it probably did actually make right around 295 hp :)

Oh yeah, and we all know PD has NO idea how a tuned V8 should sound, and the stock exhaust systems on most performance V8s aren't NEARLY loud enough in the game. I'm not happy that I either can't hear my '64 GTO or can't listen to it because it sounds like a weedwhacker when putting any exhaust mods on it :yuck:
