metamod, allows for other mods to be used in CS.
i haven't had my own server for a while, so i dunno the url for metamod, but u can search it on yahoo.

Basically go there, it teaches you the stuff
You would download metamod, then amx mod, then all the other fun plugins. Oh and make sure you download infinite grenade war plugin.. it's so fun. Whole battle with nades.

Damnit, wtf is wrong. I tried to play CS aout 10 mins ago but I couldnt. It says INVALID STEAM USER ID TICKET or somethin like that. I tried to relog in like 45454548662 times but it didnt work. I am thinkin of making a new account but I need a new cd key. Anyone have one they can share with me? BTW this is Mike#3

If you found your cd key somewhere on the internet, chances are your not the only one using it so thats probably your problem. If you didnt find it off the internet and bought HL or CS, then just wait a little while and it should work, if not contact Valve.

Never said it wasn't easy... just that we haven't played for almost a year now, and we were still able to do that... so Bots are easy most of the time, real people is the way to go. And i don't htink there was a GTP clan.

I just started playing CS again too. My clan got their server back, and it's a nice little place where I can take out my agressions. It's odd though, even though I quit for a good few months, I'm better than I was before. I'm getting a bizzare amount of headshots. Maybe when I have a good two or three hours, I can sit down and try to take out my previous best of 100 kills and 25 deaths.

Friends keep on tellin me to get all kinds of files from websites. They say its updates. When I try to play it says something like cannot reach servers.

After you install the setup file from the CD, you need to install the RETAIL UPDATE. Very simple, just try a search on Kazaa nowadays for it. The counter-strike.net used to have it, but i can't seem to find it anymore. Try even a google search, type in "cs 1.5 update" or simply press update in the CS game. Hope i helped enough. If still not work, POST.
