COPIED FROM CRAP ENDURO THREAD!

Just been doing a few laps to judge the timing of the race, lap is about 4:00 minutes, so over 90 minutes we're looking at about 23 laps in total.

Here's some runnung i did, great fun!

Qualy starts at 8:30pm GMT, i'll open a 20 minute practice at 8:10pm, just so people that are already online can join, see you all then!

20min Qualy
5 min warm up to plan stratagy
90 min race (about 23 laps)

Some have done a couple of practice races JSB, and solo practicing too. I asked on Monday about the race conditions so i believe the CRAPpers have been using the correct conditions. We will have a couple of practice races over the next few days too to sharpen up more and more. ;)

I would be keen to join in as I am looking for a casual league. I am in Australia so I means I will just have to get up early, but would love to join in next week if possible?

Welcome. I'll add you to the list. Some of us are on in the day UK so you might get some action in your evenings.

CRAP (Casual Racing Affiliates Program) has been organising online races and time trials interspersed with occasional zombie killing sprees since 2011.

I know some crappers play last of us, but do some crappers also play dying light (enhanced edition)??
it has a 4 player coop, and i just started with this game, and as we know coop is fun :dunce:

I don't have that but it does look good. Demo downloading . The reference was to our founder @Heathenpride's brief obsession with Dead Island (if I remember correctly). He's currently stuck in Elder Scrolls Online and may never be heard from again.

Just picked up Killzone for 5 pounds. Probably another game that won't get looked at.

I also got Just Cause 3 when it was on sale and looks fun if you like explosions.

If I'd just bought the following over the years I would have saved thousands.

ZX Spectrum
Chequered Flag

Amiga
Indy 500
No Second Prize

Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge
Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix

PC
Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 2,3,4
GTR, GTR2
Game Stock Car Extreme

PlayStation
Gran Turismo 3,4,5,6
The Crew
Project Cars

Seems to be a theme there.

Oh and I did play a lot of Atik Atak on the spectrum too.

This is a good website for retro games, everything from the Spectrum, right up to the SNES, Megadrive etc.....

I love the cassette box artwork for the ZX Spectrum games, never saw the majority of them is a kid, as my older brother used to get nearly all the games pirated. Real nostalgia! :)

Cool, should be on tomorrow, I hope. I probably won't bother qualifying as I haven't been able to practice so will try to just be at the back of the grid. Have to wake up at 6:30 am so If I'm not on by qualifying just start without me. How will I find the room?

Me too. I used to have a very productive tape to tape copying service at school. Still used pocket money to get a few new games on Speccy. Still got it in the loft.

@HammyMansell is running it so add HammyMansell1980 and he will send invites out for the private room.

Here's a fun battle I had with @Spooky Wooky last week at Imola. He was quicker but I was in Gandalf mode

Yeah I will do that once I wake in the morning, just before the race.

Aah fond memories of those, No Second Prize slipped my radar though.
Back in the day me and three mates would do a full race every Tuesday on G.C's Grand Prix on the good old Atari st.
One of us would do a few laps, then the ai would take over and the next person would do a few, and so on.
Think we did about 20 seasons.
Awesome fun, that game was well ahead of its time although the framerate wasn't!

Beats me how we used to manage with only a competition pro joystick.

Did you have stunt car racer? That was great. And mercenary, and...

Omg me and my two brothers + two mates did exactly the same on gc grand prix. We even had a little trophy. Fond memories, loved that game.

Great videos @JohnScoonsBeard! Nice overtake on twiggy

Followed by much laughter from the 3 of us. That overtake in the 2nd race was where he'd lost control and hit me instead of the barrier worked out well as it kept him in the race too.

Yes to Stunt Car Racer, I'd forgotten about that (also Geoff Crammond) He was physics professor or something wasn't he? Not Mercenary though.

Yes, the framerate on the Amiga was slow too but actually I did have a wheel and pedals. I used to race with my mate. He would never make a good CRAPper as he just used the AI as his brakes whereas I was a about driving fairly cleanly even then.

No Second Prize was a great motorbike game due to the control using the mouse. It took a while to adjust to but felt so much more better than using a joystick or keyboard. As well as that it had a quick frame rate, felt super smooth and had some great music.

A fun race from this afternoon. No disconnections in that one. Woohoo!

And parts 1 and 2 of a 5 lapper with @knukken and a couple of others at Le Mans in the fantastic Renault Alpine 442B. It's tricky to master and get the braking points on the Mulsanne straight as it's so bloody fast. That turbo had so much lag you forget you pressed the accelerator 5 minutes previously but it reminds you with brutality. Love it.

Sorry about the mic noise while recording the clip using share. Apparently it records mic when creating a shared replay. The additional audio is Raa Raa The Noisy Lion and Peppa Pig! Maybe a quick commentary might be preferable next time?

Only a few more days until the best DLC for pcars come out:D Sadly i work that afternoon. Can we race Wednesday instead if y'all don't mind? Whoever is hosting... I'm gonna test it out when i get in that day but im not gonna be able to race with y'all. I don't care if y'all race Tuesday but i will like it if we can also race on Wednesday as well.

We had a trophy too, about the size of an egg cup! The ai was superb, better than most games out today.
Check out mercenary jsb was great at the time.
Yeah ai was great and waved flags and cars being lifted from the track after a crash. If I remember rightly it even had marshals pushing broken down cars. 2016 now and things like this missing in todays games. That guy was a genius. I was on amiga 500.
