Yes, I was driving along though the chicane at the Glen and my car just went airborne and acted like I hit someone,or hit a wall head on. Oh well, patch 3.0 is coming...

I t-boned you in the aftermath of your sudden stop. Had to pit for repairs and came out 32 seconds behind the field but then drove the socks off the car to finish 3rd I think.
Despite a few spins I enjoyed a brilliant evenings racing, well done to all that participated and a big thank you to Mark for hosting.

Random question, any way to calibrate wheel to 270 degrees for Formula A?

If you've calibrated your wheel in the PCARS control setup screens all cars should have a "soft" stop on the wheel like in real life. So the game will adjust the degrees of turn dependent on car driven. On a road car like the Ford Focus we drove last night it is the wheel's full motion. On the Formula A car it automatically adjusts to around 270 degrees. When turning beyond that the wheel gets obviously stiffer. You can turn beyond it but it won't turn the actual car's wheels any further. I use the Thrustmaster T300RS. Might also be worth checking you have the latest firmware upgrade for your wheel.

If anyone get's a chance to drive some laps at Brands GP in the C1 cars today for estimating tonight's race length I'd appreciate it as I won't get in much before 9pm. Qualifying will be 15 minutes with 15 minutes of practice beforehand.

Sorry I missed this. Got an invitation to go out for " a couple of pints" and ended up getting home at 2am. I'm hoping to get my playseat challenge set up this evening (still boxed from Wednesday) . If not I'll be on next week from 22:30 each night UK time.

Finished some testing @ Brands GP with the 4 road cars being used tonight, one of them is not competitive, 2 of them are pretty evenly matched and the other one was a tad quicker than the middle 2.

Taking the lap average from the average lap of all 4 cars is roughly 1:47. I consider myself to be an average driver.

Then we'll just go with the 2 that were similar. What were they Spooky?
 
The A class and the M1 are pretty evenly matched. The Audi was 5 secs a lap slower and the Mitzi was about 2 secs quicker.

If anyone else wants to do a bit of testing to prove/disprove they're more than welcome, a 2nd opinion would be nice.

It's a shame the A1 is so far away from the rest, I can't think of a single track where picking the Audi would give you an advantage.

Great racing last night guys, I managed to stay for the first too races but I was just way to tired to stay anymore, my concentration was just at 0 haha :lol: what time is the road race tonight?

We had 11 at the start but lost a few along the way.

Most experienced the pit crew not obeying orders and fitting the wrong tyres. Didn't help that I panicked and pitted a second time when not necessary. It probably cost me 2nd. Well done everyone.

Heres my highlights of the race :) Massively enjoyed the race and the first stint was amazing, however after my first pit stop, god knows what tires they fitted to the car but it was understeering as hell, I was running in around the 1,39's in my first stint and 1,43's after..

That's a great replay. They have defiantly improved the way they look and the quality is much better.

Yeah they have :) I usually record them live but as it was an hour long I had to save the replay which isn't usually as smooth but it's defiantly better than it way.

Heres a video from an unofficial race in the DTM merc with a few of the guys.

@JohnScoonsBeard the +1 would be me. My PS4 cut out half way through the first lap! I'm missing from @Markeeez18's replay so I don't know if I technically started the race. Was running 4th (I think) in the White BMW with the M sport stripes.

Nice. I'm putting something together from last night too.

I'm thinking of getting a capture device for replays to try and record the super smooth 60ish frames per second HD replays that we see in game. Does anyone have one?

Something strange definitely happened at the pit stops. I too found the car understeery and John had similar issues. Dan (i think) suggested it might be due to a difference tyre pressure, which is worth investigating.

I have experienced this too. I remember being part confused, part annoyed. Crapped it as I thought my wheel was fecked. Reset PS4Boom back in the game. Still confused, still annoyed but the wheel recovered. I feel your pain.
Take it the same with you and the wheel is ok now.

I couldnt make it last night, My wife was hogging the ps4. lol Thanks for the invite though guys. Hope to be racing again soon though.
