It's tough to say positively, the day is over when the work is done. I'm thinking 330 East US/ 930 BST. Thank you for asking, I will shoot you a PM on PS network when I know more as we get closer. Please feel free to start without me too.
Ok mate i'll await the PM!![]()
If you call 5secs a lap off the pace fast then yea I'm fast ![]()
You don't have to be fast to compete though. I think you did a 1:17 in the race Ned which is still quick. I did a 1:16.0 and the quickest was Hammy a second quicker than that. Driving within yourself is important. I crashed into a wall when I started talking. Having to visit the pits an extra time to fix it meant it was more of a time loss to the leader than for example an average of a second a lap loss of time over 45 laps. Certainly more than a minute to get myself out of the fence/sand, drive slowly back to the pits and then repair.
Consistency and concentration is king. Wish I could do that more.
At our level outright speed isn't always the most important. Keeping on the tarmac is probably more important before outright speed. Concentrate on that and the speed eventually comes.
Congratulations and thanks to everyone for some great clean racing
Thanks for the input JSB. You're definitely right on the consistency front. I think I need to work on the concentration too for such long races. You don't have to be fast to compete though. Thanks John for a great race last night....Good entertainment!!! Here's the first 2 or 3 laps of the 5 lapper we did before the main event, my fight with 'Wheels on fire' acekiller15 (@ty2) was great! More racing to come this weekend for sure!
Cheers to everyone!![]()
Who else is in for the Endurance race Saturday? @copes24 is hosting!
No problem at all. Personally I prefer a challenge when lapping back markers rather than simply moving out of the way. You're perfectly entitled to stay on the racing line if you want to (entirely up to you as long as you're within our rules). It's up to the overtaking driver to get past a backmarker. Makes it more interesting. F1 drivers have it too easy.
Just so you're aware this is what your start like from Spooky's angle on my replay. Obviously there was a bit of lag. It's strange the way it works. It must be quite difficult but it would be great if games could detect lag issues quickly and ghost cars temporarily. It's a shame the internet gods decided it had to be you two after this week.
Yes John it's strange as in the video i put up this morning, my camera angle shows me not having any lag or hitting anyone...Curious.Sorry all the same.
Me of course Football!!!! Is there anything happening before? Today or tomorrow?
That's the way lag works. It's the data that gets sent from your ps4 to everyone else's ps4 that typically suffers slow downs. That data is uploaded individually 11 times (each opponent) multiple times per second in that race. The fact that your video shows spooky's car going off shows there's no problem receiving his data. Upload speeds can typically get overloaded.
The problem might be slowdowns on your upload speed. Depends on your internet upload and download speed. Could be another device connected via WiFi on your router. It might be possible to fix by changing your router setup. Someone might be able to point you in the right direction. Your car lags ocassionally rather than constantly in my replay.
I'll add you to the thread in the series section.
We have a seperate thread for the endurance races for 2 reasons.
1 It doesn't clutter up or get lost in the main thread.
2 It can attract people to the race (and the group) who might only look in the online series section.

One thing that helped my lag is turning of WiFi on my wife's phone and reseting it before I get on PS4 online.
Thats what I was going to suggest. Nice one copes. Also low ride height/ stiff suspension can cause overheating tyre problems . Or could the tyre bug still be present? Have not played for nearly 3 weeks. Waiting on my new Stand coming..... A long stand. Ba boom tsss.Stiffen the anti roll bars?
