Partook of a few online races yesterday afternoon after the 2x XP for the AMG GT S kicked in - funny how the VW GTI drivers are all overly aggressive and somewhat rabid in their approach. I didn't actually get many shots of them, as they were all pretty bad drivers with worse connections - but I've decided to make it my mission today.

The usual S-bend mayhem...

@MeanElf there are some shocking drivers on DC, its crazy, id say 7 in 10 just ram, dont know what setup will be for custom servers but i hope you can ban bad drivers, patience is starting to wear thin, its not racing most the time, its trying to stay on the track in amongst the mayhem !

True indeed @GameOver77 - I can imagine that your patience is near its end, as you play a lot online; I only do so occasionally. I'm sure you've noticed that some of them could probably win quite respectably (well, not against you, but certainly against me) if they focused on the race rather than feuding all the time.

thankyou for the compliment, id say half my online wins come from simply staying out the way, if starting at the back of the grid, spot the muppets on the first few corners and then maybe go wider than normal on a corner and brake early, just watch them all smash each other up and nip through the hole they leave lol, picking up 2 or 3 spots at a time, easy wins, but like you say there's some that can win but feel the need to ram, probably because thats been the story from day 1 haha, few times ive battled with them and give them a few warning shots, basically saying 'if you dont behave im gonna give it back to you', and they actually stop ramming me, and start racing clean with me and end having really good races !

I'm never outdone on crashes and scrapes @MeanElf :sly:

I think I must be quite an aggressive driver without realising as most my races and time trials could easily end up in here as well, I was very pleased when they introduced the damage on/off button on photomode it saved me hours

and i'm glad a few others post in here too:tup:

Noticed something interesting about the crashing bikes when gathering these pictures - the riders all disappear at the moment of impact, then if no respawn happens, they reappear when the danger is past and carry on with the race. If you select that bike after it has lost its rider though, the game will force a respawn.

Anyway, a bit of a mess at the chicane.

And hey presto! He's suddenly back in the saddle.

Oddly enough, I actually enjoyed this elite challenge and it was a shame it is over now - also a shame that I didn't think to save the crash where I spun on the horizontal axis for what felt like twenty times before hitting the desk again.

I though this looked like a good crash and tumble, but didn't realise that I managed to strip the tyre from the front wheel of this unfortunate AI opponent.

I popped these on my flickr but for those who haven't seen them I had a WILD flip crash and had to take a video as there were too many flips to know what photo to take! So here are the Trackside and Cockpit views. Apologies for the rubbish video but I am a novice at editing and trimming a video and still not really sure on share play so will look in to videos a bit more but got the crash in !👍

Notice the AI at speed cooly swerving and managing to avoid me and not crash (dynamic?)

That was pretty wild there Mr @torque99 Trimming in Share Factory is pretty easy once you know the how and the what of it all - until then however, it can be quite confusing to use. I haven't really looked into sound editing and effects/text additions at all, but if you wished to splice together a few replay angles, or different replays, I can PM you the pointers - just let me know.
