As World War IV gets underway, Siberia has some positive news to report. The Siberia-Brookistan Rail Link and Siberia-PNB Rail Link have finally been completed, much to the celebration of all nations involved. Doubling the trade revenue for each of the countries, the two rail lines scythe their way through the landscape with passenger trains travelling at a 200 mph cruising speed and freight trains delivering goods at an unmatched rate for the post-WWIII world. Siberia's advanced railroad technology ensures that the safety record of the entire Siberian rail network (which includes trackage throughout Siberia and the two links) will be as good as that of the pre-WWIII Japanese Shinkansen system (i.e. flawless). The Siberian National Railroad will operate the line, moving goods and passengers as quickly, efficiently, and safely as possible.
Before the line was built, trade with four countries brought in $1 billion per year each, for a total of $1 billion each season combined. The extension to the Valentine Province will be completed next season, and then Siberia's total trade profit per season will be $1.75 billion. As trade with the newly formed Empire of the Motherlands has commenced, the total profit per season amounts to $2 billion even, and as a result Czar Romeski feels it is no longer necessary to tax (however light the tax was) his citizens, and lifts the taxes entirely. Morale and quality of life should improve considerably.
Also, in case it is unclear, Siberia will remain neutral for the entirety of this war until someone invades, as we are not technically allied with anyone.
