Extra Information: The Soviet Republic of Siberia is not a Communist nation. We just decided that Soviet is pretty much the coolest word of all time, so we like to be called Soviets (or Siberians) instead of Russians, but that works too. Rising as a recognized world power from the frozen tundras of Siberia, the SRS is in fact a peaceful nation, not desiring to enter armed conflicts and only using its sizeable, highly trained military to annex territories and for self defense. The one advantage the harsh weather allows is that even the most formidable land troops falter and fail during the Russian winter, which has gotten even worse since the war and is an impenetrable barrier for non-natives.
Recognized internationally mainly for its advanced developing space program, the SRS is a primarily technology-driven nation that strives to become a world culture center in spite of its harsh weather conditions. Like the Soviet Union before it, Siberia (another proper noun to acceptable to refer to the SRS) is heavily space-driven (as well as retaining an acute interest in large explosives (despite its peaceful intentions)), and although it will not have manned space flight for at least ten years, it has the most advanced satellites in orbit around the Earth since the world's satellite network was destroyed during the war. This is the primary reason that the areas in and surrounding Siberia were able to make the jump to first-world power - initiating and contributing a large part to the world satellite reuplink following the war.
Official language: two, Russian and English. Citizens of Siberia are taught and generally know both, much as many Germans know both German and English fluently. The double alphabet (Cyrillic/Roman) makes things difficult, but the people are smart.

The 'Gold' is actually a very pale yellow, which is Hispaniola and now part of Cuba. I'm trying to use different colours for each nation, but that does mean that some of them don't stand out as much as others, especially when the enlarged map doesn't appear to show up for anyone!

Don't get me wrong, Peter, I quite like the map, but, I wasn't sure. Sorry for the confusion. When I saw yellow, I thought "right. That's the "gold" that's meant for Raikovia. Well, I need to talk to Raikovia. They're clearly my closest neighbour; the people who could do the most damage, or the most helpful ally."
I then found out that your map had two "yellow" shades on it. My fault for not checking with a magnifying glass, surely.
And, just to remind everyone of why this discussion is happening: I'd like to talk with the leaders of the Soviet Republic of Siberia and the UEEN, please. I believe that it's in the best interests of the collective "West Russian" peoples, that we work together. After the New Berliners fled the destruction in Germany, and moved to the tranquility of the Great Russian Plains, we left our wealth behind, but not our knowledge. We can help you, if you allow our survival.
