Before anything, if you don't like cruising, don't waste your time. Please, we don't need nobody saying that they don't see the appeal of this, etc... I enjoy racing and cruising, so I think we can have it all. Period.

So, in my years here at GTPlanet, I've been happy to know a bunch of cool cruisers and we have some good moments on GT5. GT6 is just a few days away and looks like we are going to have even more fun.

I think that tracks like Matterhorn and it's versions will be great for cruising, plus, the time/weather change (and that glorious night sky) just make everything better this time. In the near future we're going to have an improved Course Maker, and hopefully some cooler road themes (enough of Toscana and Mt. Aso already!).

What are you, cruising friends, hoping to do in GT6 as soon as you get your hands on it. Any ideas? I think that Ascari can be an interesting place too, even being a race course, the lack of grandstands, the open scenery, the houses/hotel in the surroundings, the rural atmosphere may make a good place too.

We've had some good times, diego. First thing cruising wise would probably fire up a server on one of the new tracks to see interest. The cruising community/group needs to stick together soon as day one.

I'm sure when the new track maker comes out, there will be potential to make great cruise tracks.

Plus drift/race tracks of course. ;)

I would like to join a crusing community in GT6 if there will be any;)

As soon as I buy the game I'm going to take Alpine to Mattehorn. Crusing in Cizeta or any Countach on Ascari would also be interesitng.

Driving in "normal" speeds, doing some speed runs here and there, but just driving, in a relaxed pace, enjoying the scenery with other drivers. Stopping for pictures, discovering cool stuff in the maps, etc.

This sounds fun, cruising@sunset:tup:

My top ten cruisers that I'll be using for GT6.

1. Chevrolet Nova SS '70
2. Ferrari 250 GTO '62
3. Ford GT40 Mark I '66
4. Pontiac Firebird Trans Am '78

5. Plymouth XNR Ghia Roadster '60
6. Pagani Huayra '11-13
7. Bugatti Veyron '13
8. Ford Shelby GT500 '13
9. Mazda RX500 '70
10.KTM X-BOW R '12

This is just my premium cruise list, I have to many cars to list for standards. :p

Ahh hell yes! I'm really looking forward to crusing some of my favorite cars on those two tracks. Online crusing is going to feel like the best dream come true ever! 👍

I'm sort've lost on this cruising, not so much that people do it but that they do it on a game that to me (apart from the Course Maker created tracks possibly) doesn't seem Crusing friendly.

PD should implement a bakery so you can pull over and get a baguette :dopey:
If more cheesy jokes are needed just let me know.

Chris Harris likes this post LOL

Damn, we need a 512TR to get... bread. Nevermind, the Ferrari Daytona will serve just as right! :)

(And if some of you never seen this video, I strongly recommend it.)

Its best to get a group of friends to do it. Yeah just plain o online there will be problems and lots of kicking but its fun with friends. Me personally, cruising is fun, at night time on sarthe or the ring, just hearing your engine idle or just purring while your driving is fun. All down to preferences.

Yep, exactly! Doing it with friends it's the best way to do.

Once we had the GTPGCA - GTPlanet Good Cruisers Association

It worked well for some time. :)

Omg I'm in heaven, I used to run full room cruising on Forza Horizon, I would setup gps from post to post and we would cruise at a safe nobody crash speed. It was a blast, you switch out your car at each horizon tent and alternate who's leading. No racing, just Sunday driving. Couldn't maintain a group but when we had a full room we would do this for hours. I'm glad I found this, looking forward to joining in. In real life I was, prior to kids, involved in a Datsun/Nissan z club and I would organize weekend drives so after kids I need games to replicate it until they are old enough to enjoy it again.

Seems like whenever I've tried there are nothing but a bunch of 12yo in Red Bulls going 300 or a Honda Glitch Squad.

Hoping to get into some real good Ascari muscle cruises once in a while. You know, what I would really like to see is something like my old scene. Industrial road street racing with muscle cars... everyone scatters and cruises from place to place for an hour and then back to racing. It was like a rolling car show.

I hope you can turn the lights on and off of the GT pace car in GT6! Oh crap the cops are here

The hint is to really cruise with good people, serious cruise lobbies must have rules, limitations (power/pp) and I even like to use tire limitations to avoid people blasting on slicks and I like to use damage and fuel consumption to make things real and prevent those trouble makers. And there's always the kick button.

Your old scene sounds awesome. Let's hope for some cool Course Generator themes. PD could do something just like the first NFS tracks, themes like: Coastal, Alpine, City, Industrial, etc.

Cruise lobbies often have Cops, and those really work well only with serious organization. I've had a blast a lot of times in good Cruise/Cop lobbies.

@Doog (Dooglers8) is an awesome cop. Good times!

First thing I will be doing is grabbing the Ferrari 250 GTO and cruising it pretending like I'm a billionaire :)

Second thing I will do is grab the Aston Martin One-77 and listen to Aston Martin Music
I doubt you would be able to grab a 250 GTO on day-one :D unless you buy yourself a bunch of credits with micro-transations ;)

It worked well for some time. :)

And it survived for a year until it closed. I believe that the current cruising club is going to be moving to GT6 once it's released.

Yes! This would be great. I'm showing my age here, but I used to love cruising around in NFS2SE - dash view, manual transmission and carefully picking my moment to make overtakes through the traffic. Nice to know that even now I have "grown up", nothing has changed!

Its not the kicking so much as it is the tracks that seem not to be cruising material.

That said, I would not mind trying it others as I do have a few cars I think would be ideal in GT5. Maybe doing it with other people will actually get me to see what its all about.
