Holy crap! Niiiiceeee! :D Now, I just need that NASA computer farm to get a steady 20fps for this sequel!;) :p Anyhow, it looks awesome, but just maybe, it could even be less power hungry than those thick jungles from the former crysis games...

Crytek skimping on details, or even just not taking full advantage of what the engine can do?

I don't know what that means.

To be honest, I think this is going to suck in comparison to Crysis / Crysis Warhead...

It should have been a continuation of that storyline, instead, no; they jump forward a couple of years... I probably won't get this one; it was the gorgeous jungle locations that drew me into the other two.

I loved Far Cry.....up until the mutants. I loved Crysis...up until the aliens. Up until the aliens you could play the game as you wanted (stealth, gung-ho, whatever is your style) and you could approach a situation from any way you wanted, after that it was only run-and-gun and mostly linear. Not cool, completely ruined both games for me. 👎 I hope this one doesn't include any of that, but I'm not holding my breath. ;) The graphics are gorgeous though. 👍

Well, actually in the first Crysis, even in the alien part (when you have to past inside the alien ship and find your way out, you could play as stealth, ridiculously fast or as a gunman, but after that it was pure run and gun, and crysis warhead, was just that :dopey: )

so lets see how this one turns out 👍

This is looking good. Havent heard anything of online play yet, but if they do as job of that as the undoubtedly brilliant single player game, this will boot MW2 into the has-been category. I just hope that if there is an online mode, that they dont blow it like IW did with MW2. Now that Infinity Ward have lost team members, lets hope the ones that went are the idiots responsible for all that unnecessary crap they stuffed into MW2 online.

I decided to try the Crysis 2 demo again. I had a much harder time connecting Wednesday night than I did on Tuesday night. Took a good 20 minutes straight of trying over and over again and finally got into a room. Last night I had a lot of lag and massive hit detection problems. That didnt happen Tuesday night.

However the demo was a little more fun to me last night. I made it to rank 6 and was within the top 3 players in every game. Also had a positive k/d every game besides my first game. Using the superjump and ground pound along with the other suit abilities did add a lot more to the game. But it still reminds me a lot of COD. I still plan to rent this to check out the campaign but I will use the temorary online pass that comes with the rental to play the multiplayer for a few days.

I've played the beta a bit. It seems like it could be pretty fun but too often people just hide in a corner and then one hit kill you with melee when you walk by lol. The majority of my deaths are from behind like that. I still do well but it's a little unbalanced I'd say.

Mp demo is out on PC.
Open till the 13th.

Looking good. Can play on hardcore (max) visual settings
If you want more detail you can edit the system.cfg
3=hardcore
Make it 5 :D

And i only have a 280gtx. (ok a i7 920, 10gb ram)

If anyone wanna play online. I'm up

Terronium-12

I don't know what that means.

On PC you can tweak the system.cfg and it will look amazing
And downsizing is IN in the moment ;) / sarcasm

Yeah me too. I love games where there are no aliens or mutants.
But i also play this games as the others are scare. And a lot of good franchises begun bringing them in, without reason, (fear, red faction,....)

But we will have Brink and Battlefield this year. That's good

For those that dont know, a 2nd multiplayer demo for this game is out.

I had a chance to check this 2nd mp demo out and I am glad I gave this game a 2nd chance. Pier 17 looks beautiful!!!! Finally a mp demo that shows off the Crytek graphics. Skyline still looks like garbage but Pier 17 looks very good. Huge improvement over Skyline for sure. It even has full 3d water effects and some serious attention to detail. I still dont care much for Skyline but dang Pier 17 sure broght some life into this game. I am actually very tempted to buy it now.

Had a bash at the multiplayer demo for the PC, few things i noticed.

Graphics : Much the same as the original, i didnt expect more since this was developed for consoles too, with that said the orignal Crysis is still one of the best looking games around and this is no exception, it does look fantastic. Runs fine on my old computer too, i'd say requirements will match that of the original Crysis.

Gameplay : Some new modes, energy works different, will take time to get used to. There seems to be some kind of aim assist, you would normally see on consoles but its on the pc too, and available to use in MP matches, i'm not a big fan, helps a little with the lag i guess.

Online play : The servers i was playing were too laggy, i never got on well with online shooters when you shoot someone 10times in the head and they survive because of the lag, but this is quite bad, its only a demo so i expect it will improve but i counted a good 10 kills per match that ammounted to nothing over the lag.

Balance : Again, its only a demo but the balance is way off, the guys with the snipers and shotguns were dominating, the assault rifle is not the most accurate, sniper rifle seems overly accurate and powerful, the nano strength jump thing has a massive range and is instant kill, a bit over the top. Stealth mode seems glitchy, i saw some guy stay in stealth while he was pumping pistol rounds into me, again just a demo bug (ie i didnt see him shooting me, though he was standing directly infront of me, only saw it in the kill replay)

Personally, if i want online play i'l probably stick with battlefield, but i'd imagine the single player, much like the original is going to be action packed with a storyline and amazing visuals, which is what i'm looking forward to more.

I grabbed the pc demo on steam the other night... Couldnt get past the first screen since you have to have an account... Couldnt make an account because their website is garbage... Glad it kept me from preordering more 60 dollar console port trash.

Those of you that havent played the 2nd demo REALLY need to check out Pier 17. The beautiful water scenery down by the docks reminds me a lot of Half Life 2 lost coast. But imagine 3d reacting water effects. Looks very good. Thats a great map. I still cant stand Skyline at all.

It's true that the account servers were down on release date to massive traffic.

But having played the demo for a few hours, i didn't have any problem at all, except some lags which lasted for 1 sec in the whole match.
So nothing to worry about.
Hadn't had any major glitches.
And the game is fun.
Cloak, aim at head of hostile, "E", shoot, "E".
balance can still be nasty as i already played games with only 2 people against a full opposite team. But that is a little problem with an easy fix

Only thing i worry about is the graphics settings for the PC. I want options, not some predefined settings.
Even on hardcore my PC is still in "idle", well kind of.
I played a bit with the system file and enabled more detail, but in retail version i want those options in the menu.

Lol Camarob. : I like the skyline level. Feels a bit to me like a Counterstrike level. But the pier is really nice level too.

I loved Crysis and Crysis Warhead so I'll be picking this up for both PC and 360. The PC version supports the 360 controller so no need to suffer with a keyboard.

In Crysis if you cranked the difficulty to max the enemy started to speak in korean

Downloaded the demo on PC and played a few matches. It's okay but I'm more interested in the single player portion and modding.

Lot of the hardcore PC guys are pissed at the many changes with gameplay, graphics, DX9 at launch, connection problems and being given jumped up console demo. Some are still holding out that the release version with a DX11 patch is much better than the leaked beta and demo.

Direct x11 is in just not activated yet.
There is a tweak to activate it (renaming files).
As you said modding : graphics can be customized in the system file, and i'm pretty hopeful that the graphic menu from the previous crysis make it in. The 3 option for PC is stupid. (but it eases a lot for some Gamers)

I am also more interrested in the Campaign but the Tier 17 map was a huge improvement in the multiplayer. Still some major hit detection problems and bullet delay but thats a lot to do with EA servers. They had the same issues with most of the Battlefield games. Not sure if thats just console related or EA.

The bullet delay spoiled it for me, it wasnt great with Battlefield and i found it annoying, but playable. Crysis 2 demo however is quite a bit worse.

Getting kills when your bullets miss, and not getting kills when your bullets hit, is quite annoying.

I agree. I noticed it a LOT yesterday. I really think its a LOT to do with the EA servers. I just hope the Crytek 3 engine truly pushes the 360 to the max. The Crytek 3 demo looked unbelievalbe but as we all know, most games never push a game engine to its max. However if any game will do it, it will be Crysis 2. I know the PC version will look good but I am hoping its pretty good on the 360 also. The 3d reacting water sure looks great thats for sure.
