Crysis 1 on consoles will be using Cryengine 3. 👍

Ah. That's great for the console junkies (like I'm not one...). I thought the "new" features were either A. Improvements made to the original engine, optimized at a lower resolution, or B. Resources further improved from the already improved CE2 in Warhead. Wonder if the PC will get a similar re-release.

If it's worth the price I won't mind owning both the 360, and the poorly-optimized original version. :p

Crysis 1 runs quite a bit slower than Crysis 2, it's just not as well optimised. So what i'm saying is, whatever you had Crysis 1 runnning at, Crysis 2 (atleast in Dx9 mode, which is higher quality than original crysis dx10) will be running at considerably higher FPS.

So even better graphics at higher FPS?

Can't go wrong then! 👍

Yes, I sort of wanted this, and I wasn't expecting it.

Just to fix up and make all the linekeage of the nanosuit and the aliens thing which I didnt understood that well in Crysis 2.

According to a bunch of different people who played the original, they always tell me that the original Crysis was the best, hope to see that, specially with the CE2 working for those environments.

$15 And I'm in.... more than that they should just put it on disc or re-release Crysis 2 with C1 double pack for $30....

C1 + Warhead are a shade under 12GB installed on PC. C1 just over 6GB and Warhead just under 6GB.

I finally played and completed Crysis 2 a couple days ago since I bulit a system to max it out on ultra.

What really surprised me is that, I'm a fan of contemporary military shooters and never like "alien invasion" or futuristic settings, yet still loved this. In fact, I much prefered the later stages of the game, fighting the Ceph rather than taking on CELL. It's just so satisfying stalking and stealth killing the Ceph one after the other, and then occasionally going on an attacking spree with the HMG or MK60.

Really recommend this to anyone still on the fence. If you can max it out on ultra, it's the most visually impressive gaming experience possible, gameplay is fun and variable to suit your style, and the story line is decent enough to keep you interested.

Just when I thought games couldn't have any better graphics, I find a video of a guy running Crysis 2 with 4 graphics cards in 1080p HD ...

I won't even bother asking what such a rig would cost

^ Let alone the price for a motherboard with 4x PCIe and space for 4 high quality GFx

Why on earth would you need 4 high-end graphics cards to max it?

I've got a single 2GB 6970 and I'm running it at 1080p, DX11 everything on ultra, high res pack and getting an average of about 50 fps. Seeing as the game is Nvidia optimised, you can easily get more than 60fps maxxed@1080p on a single GTX570, which is cheaper than my card.

If you take your time and get inventive, you can make it last longer. Setting yourself the challenge of taking on an encounter without being seen once gets fun real quick.

Crysis 1 PC vs Xbox 360 Comparison:

PC version looks much better of course but the 360 version still looks pretty good.

I need to get back into this game. I bought it for PS3 and only played it for less than a hour, I'm half tempted to sell it and buy the PC version.
