Finally!

The Forza Motorsport CSR Elite wheel is ready for pre-order from now on. We will fly in products from China by UPS airfreight so that we can ship it in time for Christmas.

This increases the cost of the wheel a little bit so that the new price is 539,95 Euro (incl VAT) or 539,95 USD (excl. VAT).

We only have a very limited amount of wheels available as production is still slow due to increased quality control measurements. We rather give the workers more time to assemble it nicely and save time with the shipping instead of rushing things to the market.

This wheel is a new milestone in simracing and you will discover your games in a complete different way.

I just orderd mine :):):)

Ha......I had mine ordered before Thomas even posted on the blog. My daily mantra of refreshing the Fanatec gameshop page has likely paid off in ensuring I'm one of the 1st preorders. I wonder if I am the 1st?

Just click : "Buy now" on the fanatec website and in the shop you will be able to select the CSR Elite

I just sold my CSR last week, waiting for this moment since.

Preordered with the Clubsport Pedals, can't describe how excited I am :)

Btw, thanks HoiHman for this thread as otherwise I could have missed it

The CSRE isn't much better than the CSR.

(it's a lot better)

That's mean man.......mean!

LOL!

Edit: Damn iPad GTPlanet app......it doesn't display your hidden text until after I quoted you!

LOL, eye like a hawk!!! :)

I reckon someone in the community will do a racing wheel mod within a matter of weeks of these arriving. It happened with the T500RS and will be possible on the CSRE for those that just have to do that kind of thing.

Ordered mine. Glad I ordered another set of Csp's and shifters last week. Lol. Wife is gonna kill me for sure. Lol

Be sure to have some fun first with your toys before you get killed, else it was all a waste. lol

BLACK86
so now they are available for pre-order surely reviews should be allowed to be aired?

Latte wishes to wait for the rest to get their wheel. Although it would indeed be nice to have some form of user experience written down now it's up for pre-order, I agree.

Does anybody know if the CSR elite wheel has this nice rubber coating or the shiny plastic from the CSR wheel?

thanks

I'm pretty sure the Elite is supposed to have the rubber instead of the plastic.

No real need for reviews. Top end Xbox wheel end of.

Yes but even amf could work that out :)
(hides)

Is it really worth the extra money or an upgrade?
Being the best Xbox wheel isn't enough for some, the question is how does it manage against the T500RS which was a clear step up in performance over the Porsche wheels.

At this price too its quite a bit more expensive in UK/Europe with pedals over the current deals on the T500RS. Not only does it need to match the T500RS I reckon to get some peoples money it will need to do so convincingly. That's asking quite a lot and for me anyways is where this product will be judged/compared/rated.

Their is the whole FM4 CSRE Vs GT5 T500RS battle to contend with as well...

Couldn't give a rats about the Thrustmaster because it's doesn't support Xbox. AMF could work that out.

Pretty sure the CSW vs T500 is the biggie. Being as they are targeted towards the exact same crowd.

No offense AMF.

Edit. Off to Hydrotherapy. Argue with you later.

Yeah, I like the T500 but no Xbox mean no buy. The Elite covers all my bases. Hopefully it has the rubber rim. :)

Well even though it's the top wheel, if you are low on cash and want to know if the wheel is worth the extra money then you will wan to read up about it before laying down the huge sum of money.

Whos arguing, its only discussion.

Not everyone buying the CSRE will buy it because it has Xbox support. We just had some discussions on this yesterday. They still however want a great GT5/PS3 and of course PC wheel. Being cheaper than the CSW it may appeal to them more.

I dont think you can just expect because it is multiplatform or indeed the best X360 wheel then thats the reasons everyone will buy it or want it. Therefore it still competes to the T500RS and for people that own the T500RS already then well Im sure some of them may consider selling their Porsche and T500RS wheels to get the CSRE as they do still want a high end wheel but also all platforms.
