Folks,

I'm expecting my CSR bundle in today and was wondering where I can find the latest firmware for the wheel.

Thanks,
Mike

It should be on the Fanatec site under support like with any other product from another company.
Test firmwares aren't for public use if you are referring to 'latest' in that respect.

Yeah. I saw someone posted the latest beta firmware on the 911wheel.de site and it was taken down. :(

It was removed because the update process is not the most straightforward. Fanatec is planning on enhancing the updater and re-releasing it soon. Sorry, I do not know a time frame.

This firmware removes the high pitched noise in 360 mode, changes the fan activation to temperature dependent, and fixes the settings save glitch. Make sure you read the text file which will guide you through the update.

Good luck.

Thanks II-zOoLoGy-II.

Let's hope my CSR bundle is problem-free!

Also, anyone know if ACL will be implemented into the next CSR Non-Elite firmware?

Yeah Thanks II-zOoLoGy-II!

I was also looking for this. I heard there was a plan to incorporate it in to the CSR. Now I don't remember if this was a post from Thomas or a wishful post of a customer.

Thomas confirmed he will try to put it into all fanatec wheels didn't he?

In a blog post

That's what I can't remember. Did he confirm it or did someone ask for it. I will look tomorrow or Thursday night.

Wow, that update process was horrible. First, I had .NET 4.0 installed and the v706 updater wouldn't work. I had to downgrade to .NET 3.5. Next, I had to install the pw1 twice? Seriously? Bleh. I think the big issue is having to manually get into "bootloader mode"...

In addition, I tried to load the new firmware updater. That was worse. It'd take forever to load (seemed like it was looking at every .inf file in my drivers directory). Once it finally loaded, I didn't feel comfortable using it.

Also, I almost broke down after not finding a PS2 to RJ45 adapter for the pedals. Turned out, it was taped inside one of the cardboard spacers. Phewww. Thought I was going to choke someone...
