CSR wheel not saving settings.

My mate had. cSR wheel of Santa.
He has to input the wheel settings each time he powers on.

Anyone heard of this issue, thanks.

Mine does the same. Not sure if the ''unofficial'' firmware fixes it. I'm sure if it doesn't something from Fanatec will be released later, I remember this being an issue.

I believe the unofficial firmware fixes it. I know there's a link to DL it on ForzaPlanet.

Any idea when it becomes official?
By downloading this FW is it not certified for official release therefor voiding warranty etc.

I don't think DL it would void any warranty. I think the later CSR wheels have the newer FW included, don't quote me on that, thought I heard it. Anyway, like player said, someone posted it over at Forzaplanet. As for when Fanatec will officially release it, not sure.

Edit. Where is the love for this wheel. It was released before the Elite.
The elite has had several tweaks in the meantime I think.

HAHA, I know right. Since I play with my sound loud, I do not hear the buzzing in XBOX mode, but the save settings bug is annoying. I guess since the Elite is Fanatecs powerhorse, it the favorite child in the family.

Firmware 706 fixes the noise and settings save issue.

Go www.911wheel.de and download firmware 721. You can't use 721 on the CSR but the bootloader is much better than the one that is included in the 706 file. Make sure you use the 706 PW files.

I have been saying the same thing for a while as you have probably noticed in other threads. I am happy enough to wait though as long as the firmware is as good as the Elite wheel feature wise.
