Wanted to wish everyone well that decides to take part in this....
Personally I am a bit concerned the beta driver situation has lasted so long but hey look at AMD with the 7970 so Fanatec sure are not the only ones to release high end products with unfinalised drivers/firmware.

With the personal upsets I've had at the start of the year (2x family related deaths, and pet dog of 15 years) my mind has been elsewhere and I can only be grateful that at least my business has been brisk so far this year...

I have a lot of work done for the CSRE and Pedals review but decided to hold all the stuff I have done off until the CSW is released for the comparison I want to do justice with.

Still planning to do 3 way review with each wheel on a Rennsport stand and connect up to triple screen configuration.

Having also recently bought components for a very high end PC I will finally be able to do justice in testing on console and PC .

Once again good luck to everyone and well it is awesome that Thomas brings this fantastic product testing direct to the community.

I wish we would get this show on the road somehow as well. I heard Thomas was pre-occupied today though due to various circumstances. Which could've been a reason it wasn't today at least.

Hate to say it while kinda looking into my crystal ball again.
While it may not take as long, previously they have released products in July.
So I'd expect March/April to be possible beta phase time-scale.

E3 could be used to properly showcase the CSW this year, including the little seen handbrake, long awaited CSP shifter and newly talked about CSPV2 pedals.

Showcasing the latest Clubsport Family of products all together to me makes a great deal of sense and sure would create a lot of excitment. Will Codemasters and Fanatec team up for a new F1 based rim as well? Knowing Thomas we have have some surprises coming this year.

Latte,
Jarno is a good driver but not the best and apparently his time has come to a logical end. He was replaced by a younger and better supported driver.

Life replaces everything old with new according to Darwin and this is not a surprise :)

Sports have become a show biz nowadays and the main part is played by businessman and bankers. So if you have the money you get the certainty and the appreciation ;) and the girl lol

What's the deal with Truli? What did I miss?

Jarno was the driver for Caterham (ex Lotus) with a contract until the end of 2012 season and he was sure it is legit but they have replaced him with Petrov a couple of days ago. Reason - Petrov have brought some investors to Caterham with 9million euros + 3 millions for Jarno as a compensation.

To get this back on track then, let me comment... let's hope that at that rate it won't be Christmas instead. Because releasing stuff before Christmas helps the sales as well. :nervous:

The longest and most difficult wait I had in sim-racing was for GT5, it was a nightmare.

Actually I found that personally to be the biggest failure of game production and launch after Duke Nukem Forever. :banghead:

Oh GT5 yeah nightmare...

Funny though as I once knew a guy looking to build a rather extreme OTT cockpit and it seemed like it was never for happening, lol.

Mr Latte, that sentaence can read one of two ways.

........as I once knew a guy looking to build .........
1) This guy is no longer building
2) This guy is almost done building

I hope your friend, Captain Espresso we will call him, is getting along well :)

Well, with pre-production having started not so long ago my sixth sense tells me it's good to get this talk started again. I haven't seen or heard anything about round to or whatever from Thomas though. Hopefully he can enlighten us soon.

Apparently Thomas said on another forum that these wheels should be available for sale in April. That makes zero sense to me, maybe he was trolling? LOL. It was being talked about in the iRacing forums, but I can't remember where or else I would post the information I saw.

My sixth sense, the gods and everything else tells me it could definitely be April or at least May depending how long testing will be by the community reviewers. ;) I am definitely talking about the probability of truth of 42 when it comes to my senses and the topic (play on the hitchhikers guides 42)

Thomas help me. I think I am suffering form beta test news deprivation. Please prescribe me something to help alleviate my pain.

You have a very good sixth sense, where did you buy it, kidding :)

I think you are absolutely right, during this April, maybe mid May we might see CSW beta tests, reviews and even have it released :)

Mate, don't worry, you will be cured very soon :)
