When making a custom race is there any way to dictate which tires the other vehicles are using? Been making street car races with other cars from my garage, and even if I equip them all with Sport Soft tires, they all end up using Sport Hards in the race.

Pretty annoying.

In short. No, there isn't. All the vehicles in a custom race will either use their default tire, or racing hard tires (if they are owned for that vehicle). Currently there is no way around this.

That's utterly ridiculous and a huge game flaw IMO. Honestly not sure how I didn't realize this earlier, but in general I haven't done a lot of custom races.

Appreciate the reply.

It's certainly not ideal. I tend to just use the default tire on any 600pp or below (for custom races), and racing hard for anything in the 700pp+ range. I think we will likely have to wait for GT8 for full tire implementation in custom race modes.

I'm fairly sure it's a bug but custom race doesn't really get much attention on that front. The tyre bug has been around for ages and they probably have other things that they're working on that take priority at this juncture.

For random rival races it isn't really an issue, but with garage cars for AI, as @ShonnDaylee mentioned, you'll want to stick with the vehicle default tyres or Racing: Hard.

Note also that the AI will always switch to Racing: Soft after moving from intermediate/wet tyre to a dry tyre. This may be intentional as it happens IRL.
