Custom Soundtracks in GT5 - What are you listening to?

My playlist will consist of:

Judas Priest
Motörhead
Rob Zombie
White Zombie
Bob Seger
Jerry Reed
Ministry
Saliva
Sevendust
Static-X
ZZTop
Favorite songs of past Gran Turismos
and much more.

the Prodigy
Apollo 440
FatBoySlim
the Chemical Brothers
Korn
Rise Against
Saliva
and some others.....

Just a question: In GT4, couldn't you go into the playlist of all the songs GT4 featured, and select which ones you wanted to hear in the menu, which ones during a race, which ones during replay, ...?

If this is still the case, I'd like to assign my own MP3's to the menu screens. Most of that music is just boring :D

On GT4 only for the races and the slideshows..
I always turned off the menu music from GT2 :(

GT1's soundtrack is still the best one in the series in my opinion, so I may toss some of those songs in there, although I always have music turned off while I drive.

Try to not get nostalgic

Thanks to GT1 now I know about the Manic Street Preachers, the original authors of Everything Must Go :D
And yeah, that Ash song was soo cool, now I have to listen to the again.
The Gran Turismo soundtrack was important for me, thanks for the Feeder, Jimmy Eat World, Daiki Kasho/Dakota Star and many more!

Apart that, the music of the GT1's menus was EPIC, I don't know why they had to change genre from GT2 :ouch::nervous::indiff:

Hmm, some GT "classics" like Feeder, etc.

Then some Frank Klepacki, Iron Maiden, Fleetwood Mac and Jethro Tull.

Someone in here mentioned the Wipeout soundtracks - great idea!

I completely forgot how awesome the soundtracks to those games were! Some of the best Trance/Techno ever produced. :sly:

There are some really great [and diverse] music selections in here!

Keep it up! We all might learn about some new music/bands/genres that we might not have heard before, simply due to this thread! :D [RACECAR proved this to me with the song he posted - which is now one of my favorite songs!]

Lots of Feeder :D

They've been on every game except GT2 so it would be rude not to!

Oh and Lose Control by Ash, a GT1 classic!

EDIT - Ha realised Strittan posted it earlier, good to see someone else appreciating the track :D

You wouldn't happen to be referring to "East Bound and Down" from "Smokey & The Bandit", now would you? :D

A lot of Trance and a lot of DJs :D. People like:
Above and Beyong (and Oceanlab), John O'Callaghan, Armin van Buuren, DJ Tiesto, DJ Sasha, Kyau and Albert, Nalin and Kane, Sander van Doorn, Sander van Kleinenberg.
And maybe some Prodigy. I cant to be blasting round the Nurb' with Voodoo People blessing my eardrums!
I would have the music a bit quieter than the engine so that I can still hear when to change gear :)
EDIT: I forgot Underworld and the Chemical Brothers!!!

Yes, yes, yes and yes.

I'll add Daft Punk, Deadmau5, LTJ Bukem, a bit of Floyd, a bit of Zed Lepplin, Justice and various types of metal (but just a sprinkle of metal). 👍

But most of all - Amon Tobin. His stuff is most regularly heard on TGUK.

To me this is just a kick in the nuts, I expected to be able to play music I've uploaded to my PS3 on every game and Gran Turismo is one of the few games I have no interest in listerning to music on.

Amon Tobin - didn't he compose the entire soundtrack to "Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory" for the PC and XBOX?

I actually bought the CD soundtrack for that - great Trance/Jazz stuff on that one! 👍

Hmm....

DJ Boyler - Keep On Moving
E Type - True Believer
Manian - Welcome To The Club
Alex K - If You Were Mine
Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise
EuroDance - Zombie

Right you are sir 👍
Some people dismiss it as too experimental - but all those weird drumming sequences with no melody match perfectly with a shooting stand off.

You should have a look into Foley Room - that's excellent aswell.

I have Bricolage, but that is all jungle beats - and nothing like Foley room and Chaos theory.

What music I will listen to?

Porn Music.

Just kidding, I will listen to some Drum & Bass, Trance, house, some dance, and of course...

...TOOL!

I probably won't play anything while driving. If I play anything it's just going to be whatever I want to listen to at that current time. There's nothing I have preselected to be driving music.
