Can anyone suggest an App which allows me to give my apps manual icons. I.e use my own images etc.

I believe you'll have to Jailbreak it. At least that was the case back in the day.

As for editing images for icons, iOS, last I check, uses .png files for icons and you can manually edit or replace them once you have access to the system files.

And this should probably be moved to the computers and tech sub-forum.

And, I really have no idea how to do what you are suggesting.
