Get what practice you can in over Sunday and Monday, anyone with BF3 is gonna be busy with the Karkand pack at any time before 8!

And I wouldn't be of great help probably, as I hate this track to death.

chris, you really need to work on your maths mate, either that or set up a proper excel spreadsheet! last time i checked, 6+5+5+8+6+12 didn't equal 18 ;) lol jus jokin mate, although there are still a few other errors in there

Ahha! It's the sheet Kammy gave me, the maths should do itself :s

I should have 12 points for Race 1 today, gimme moar points, moaaaaaarrr.

Race 1: Think there was maybe only 0.1 between me and Mcglone in Quali. Had done some practice in the same room as him earlier and it was pretty close once I got a setup sorted. Got totally owned off the start line by the RWD cars, was 4th by Turn 2 I think. From there just tried to put the pressure on the guys in front, eventually getting to the front. My tyres were already on their way out by the end of Lap 4 though (well, they were ok but not up to the front-running pace anymore, lots of understeer) and Mcglone got his BMW up my inside half way through the last lap and was nothing more I could do really. Was a very good pass. Was about to let Jimmy through to 2nd with about 2 corners to go too, but he backed out of the move (was a fair move mate, should have kept your foot in! :P) leaving me to take P2 instead. Was pretty happy with that tbh.

Race 2: It's difficult to pass at this circuit especially, so just tried to stay out of trouble. I don't think I made a single overtake all race long, but came through to win it. Any passes I made I think were through other people's mistakes, and just making sure I was only placing my car where it was safe to do so - racing in a pack like that = make sure you're in place to take advantage if it goes wrong in front of you, but also make sure you won't get caught up in the trouble at the same time! That's (pack racing) probably my biggest strength tbh, but now I've said it, I'll probably get binned off on the first lap next race! :sly:

I was on the inside going into a corner i had no confidence in.. & we were side by side...
 
Sorry Mole, you'll get your extra two points tomorrow. I will have a look at the knocks tomorrow, anything in this thread will get looked at, others probably not.

I know i know.. we were side by side and i had a moment where i skipped to the future and we were facing the wrong way.. it scared me slightly.. your lucky it was me!
 
Does the ballast apply to both races or just the second one?

Doest seem to be having any affect! Next race you all have to have a extra 200kgs so I can have more of a chance ;) lol

Thanks sy, was a good race 2, annoyingly I never got to defend my first, as I pitted later and did a poor in lap, meaning I left the pits behind mole and kickstart. Towards the end of my out lap there was a big slide from kickstart, so I managed to catch him and that's where I stated at the end.

Race 1 was hugely disappointing, I managed to qualify in around 6th on a high 1:19:4, then after the restart of qually, I never managed a clean lap, resulting in a 11th place start, I managed to gain a couple of places in the first lap but various incidents seemed to end with me just onside the points.

I was very surprised with the Pace of me and sy, I expected a much slower race in the Atenza as I thought that read drive cars would do better, especially the BMWs, so very well done to mole in the front drive Integra.

(I think I got told not to jump back to the pit in qually, I didn't leave the track, just pitted twice. My pace was poor until my final lap which I finished with about 30 seconds to go, so I was a bit confused I got told not to exit the track and very annoyed that my lap counted for nothing).
 
Qualify was mental. I'm surprised you pulled off a 1:18.7 mole. Well done! , It was very close between us i must admit. If i didn't do the hour testing before main practice i don't think i'll be near as quick.

Race 1. I wasn't happy that i didn't get pole but i knew i would beat you mole to the first corner. I think lap 3 or 4 i had a little spin and fell in behind jimmy. I stayed with him a lap or too and i saw you both went wide. Simple pass on jimmy then the hunt for you mole. Was not easy to say the least. Great battle and the pass i done i just didn't think we would both make it. But well done ;)

Race 2. It hurt me bad. The problem is slower cars are dangerous. I got held up so much and was unable to pass. If i did pass and got onto the straight they would eat me up and we would go back to square one. I thought me pitting later would help me get up the field better. But that was wrong, i know nate was on my ass and i get did a hit with made me lose some time on catching the rest. I heard you on the mic saying i was blocking or cutting. Which i don't no how? After pulling a distance on nate i managed to catch chris and someone else can't remember who. Again sorry chris about the little nudge off. I left you enough time to make a move on him and i just had to do something. I couldn't wait behind any longer.

1st and 4th not bad i guess could of been better. Upping my game next race.

I'm not disputing that you were faster than me but I was not dangerous.

And I never overtook on the straight, when you did get by me you ran wide twice which allowed me to get back in front of you, that's not my fault!

DFR is a difficult place to overtake, esp sector 2 and that's where you were alot faster than me.

I'm sorry i don't think i saw your name in my post. Must be hidden within.
So wind your neck in. I can't remember who it was but someone tried coming back at me on the very first corner on the main straight. Also the start on the race was like a health hazard, i saw mole get hit and nudged about a few times. Also another thing is this isn't the first time someone has said about the slower cars being a bit risky.

I don't think you heard the full convo later on, other people names did get said. Don't think i'm singling you out. Get this straight i felt i was held up. But there wasn't once i said you was dangerous. Who's says i'm bitching with you? I thought we was having a lovely discussion. But you got a bit to beefy with it. Lol.

No you wasn't dangerous. One or two tired to over take me on the first corner which i got a bit up tight about. It must of happened to other people.

Oh yeah another thing why was snipes in the race last night. Do you remember what happen to the last person you invited in and wrecked some others race. Not saying he would of done that but he isn't in the series.

1st corner always seem to be abit tough, sometimes it's better off just sitting back to see what happens, cold tires and eagerness to overtake can be a deadly combo!

And agreed, GVE with that American dude who caused a massive pile up, craziness. Also with GT5 servers being iffy as they are having extra people in the room is likley just to make more problems for the rest of us (grip issues/gear issues) like Chris has had previously.
