What yall think of the spritR now? its the tune that makes it fast this time not the wing...and the GT86 is unreal its -30BHP down but it keeps up in the corners :)
 
It seemed slower on the corners but fast on straights which balanced it perfectly, if we run some races on more suitable tracks to double check I'm happy to let it in.

How that 86 drives is stunning and must be great fun. It suggests that there maybe other cars as quick with similar regs.

Answer to a previous Q:
Sports Softs are great for these regs and it looks like we're sticking with them.

We did a race on Clubman and the RX-7 flew down the straights.

My fine-tuned RX-8 was being passed by the Tamora and the under-reg GT86 with little trouble.

If we ban every car that's faster than others round one track we'll end with about four cars in the series.

Every series is allowed to have differences in the cars, like the Civics in BTCC which 1-2'd nearly every round!
 
The reason chris was getting overtaken was because he was slow and didn't know the track...
I was following moleman with my GT86 and was merking him on the corners, only to lose it all on the straights.
I changed cars because everyone was hating on the FD, now suddenly you've allowed it without a wing and it's fastest still. If you're going to ban a car, just ban it!
 
Yeah Nate, you are right. If a car is getting banned, ban it.

Nate, you will do better in the twisty races so that's 1 up for your car, long straight tracks means 1 up for moleman
 
Chris, ragardless of tuning.. he's 30hp down.. there isn't tuning involved when a car is blatantly faster in a straight line.
 
I'm saying, if he put some time in he could be much faster through and out of corners, and might cheer him up a bit!
 
He just said he merked him in the corners.. To me that means he's faster in, during and out the corners. Dunno what you are thinking of though... Stop being a tattie and listen to the boy! The Rx7 does have a reasonable pull on the straight.

I'm not fussed.. I just wanna have fun in my chubby wagon.
 
What's the spec for the new series? Or haven't you decided yet? I keep dipping in and out of the thread.
 
405 BHP, 1200Kg No tuners / race cars, FR or FF premium only.

I'm just fed up of people arguing!
 
After tonight, can't see any problem tbh - I've done identical lap times in the Skyline (370GT) and in the RX8 at most circuits, and in fact the laps have been quicker than the RX7 (with no wing). For example at Clubman I went 0.2 quicker in the RX8, and that was with passing Priesty on the second to last corner too, haha. Any car will beat you down the straight when your car is 20-30bhp down on the 405bhp limit though, so man up! ;)
