D-max Intercontinental GT3 Championship

Hi guys... I'm new to the GTP forums but not to the GT series or sim-racing...

I'd like to express my interest and also ask a few questions.

1. Can I use the Nissan 370Z. It does race in the FIA GT4 series. Or the 350Z which did race in the GT3 series. Or any Fairlady Z car for that matter... (I'd be heartbroken if you made me drive the Z32, but I'd tough it out...lol:))

2. What are the rules, car specs and how can we be sure that people aren't running engine limiter at 50%..?

3. Time of the race start? Or that I should be in the server?
 
As for question 2, which I can safely answer, you need to be in the region of 500bhp, and running 2.60kg/bhp (found in the settings menu for your car - right hand tab of the power/torque curves on the right of the screen) :)

There is no start date for this series as yet either, as we still have another Race Series ongoing, that needs to get towards the final few round before this one is brought to life. Stick around though, one of the lads will be able to tell you if you can use the Z-Series Nissans you ask about :)

Priesty, I was online on Saturday from about 10pm ish, until about 10am Sunday morning haha, imagine how that feels, and then do it a few times during the week....... lots of fun :D

BTW, what kind of lap times are you guys hitting round the various tracks GVE, Laguna Seca etc??

I'd give that a go over a weekend but being in work now sucks!

On GVE my fastest is 1:01.2XX altho my consistant time is 1:01.8XX low 1:02's, Jimmy was hitting high 1:00's which is FAST!

Cant remember my Laguna time however I know its not that fast, Nurb GP i've changed my lines and my current fastest is 1:28.1XX but i'm sure I can improve that.

Doesnt sound too bad, I'm hitting consistent 1.01's round GVE, need to go try other tracks though haha, did the Nurb 24hr in 8:24 on one of my all nighters, being hunted down by an American with what he claimed to be an 800bhp Merc SLS, poor bugger didnt have a chance of passing me, Hulk just pulled away on every corner, it was brilliant!! He then followed me for another lap, before I asked the room if they fancied an SLS shaped shadow, and he promptly gave up lol :D Then a guy with a fully tuned GTR (VERY silmilar colour to mine - bar the carbon bonnet) asked me to race, so me him, and the SLS guy all got our cars to the same power, and started a race - what we thought would just be the 3 of us turned into the entire room pmsl! I still came 2nd..... :)

I really hope me and Brad are going to have a properly reliable car to contend with, because we WANT the D-MAX GT3 trophy :)
 
Yeah priesty I'm very fast in rwd cars and thanks to Alex's setup, (saggyscrot) i'm epic in the GT. I was doing 1:26.3 on Nurb GP/D with no chicane cutting (fastest I've seen) and 1:00.6xx was my best on GVE! Laguna Seca I think I qualified behind Kickstart with a 1:24.3xx but had a consistant race pace in a few laps of high 1:23's Aswell as kickstart :) I honestly feel this Ford GT will be the car that wins, sorry guys ;)

Don't think the car needs handicapping. It wasn't that quick when I was racing James and Mcglone on Friday until Alex tuned it for me properly! Also, Drive it like you stole it ;) haha

lol had to have a chuckle at that, the timer for the race start was counting down, and I knew I was on a quick lap so was just willing the timer to slow down a bit so I could finish, crossed the line with about 5 seconds left before the race start! in the race itself, my best was a 1:23.8, was running consistant low 1:24's so I'm feeling quite good about this series!

You have the GT, Knight/HMS has the SLS, all my running has been in my GT and Jack was leaning to the SLS but that has changed.

There would have been 2 the same which ever way we went.

X4 GT
X4 458
X2 SLS
X2 GTR

Me and my mate have interest and might be running M3s as ASC Motorsport in black cars with red rims. Just making sure; we can do anything to the car if it has 2.6kg/hp right?

Me and adz-94 are using the 458 in performance blue and black wheels.

Does anybody know if the actual power to weight ratio in the game is correct?

I know it's been motioned a couple of timed that sometimes decreasing the power increases the P to W ratio but it's normally dismissed as 'it takes a while to update' 'BUT' I thought the P to W ratio was weight divided by the ratio you want (2.60)= bhp needed? This is different to what is on the performance tab :/

Or I could be wrong........
 
The weight to power ratio=kg/hp. Lowering the hp means that one hp will be pulling more weight(kg) per say.

Also, the 430 Scuderia is banned correct?

No the Scuderia is in. The original F430 cant add Aero so the Scuderia is the choice.

The power to weiht ratio is correct. If it doesnt change once you have made change. Go to the power limiter menu then back out and it will have updated.
