How is it (for drifting)?

I've seen that RX-7 appear two times and BOTH times I didn't have enough credits to purchase. When I got enough money after a race the UCD updated its contents.

I have one and it drifts quite well out of the box...
Just hold out for it. Like so many other great cars, you just have to wait for it to pop up in the UCD.

How is it (for drifting)?

It drifts pretty nicely, I for one prefer drifting in Sports Mediums with no turbo on, I believe its like 4XX HP without any turbo on.

Yeah, I have all of the tires for the RX-7, I feel that the Sports Medium are the best fit for me, but that's just a matter of personal opinion.

Weird. I ALWAYS use comfort hard tires.

comfort hards are drift tyres, Mediums if you cant handle the car on hards
