Ok .... Thanks ! 👍

Well, my work day has fallen off the rails pretty quickly. Resulting in me having to work tomorrow 🤬 but i should be home close to two hours before the wife this evening so i can get some racing in :) hope i can catch some of yous in the a race :gtpflag:

As seen today, the penalty zones have failed. Driving is worse than ever today. So much bumping in my last race the SR Down arrow might as well have been a permanent fixture for the first 2 laps. I dropped to SR.A, -21 SR for that race to 78. I also ended up with 2 penalties putting me back behind the dangerous drivers. First one in the chicane, car next to me spins out, bumps me off, yet I get 2 sec penalty and placed behind the dangerous drivers again. The other, someone slamming on the brakes for T1. I do my best to avoid yet still tiny contact and although he braked hard for T1, he then steps on the gas too early and drives off :banghead: And set back into the danger zone again.

Time to get my kids, Perhaps it will be better later. Can't give up on Friday's clean racing reputation yet... Jeez what's it going to be like tomorrow.

Just my theory, but the faster and lighter the cars are, the more crazy stuff happens.. the Formula cars are literally all over the place all the time, miss one corner and the next corner you are of the racing line and most likely hitting someone, or getting hit. My best lap is a 1:40:XX, the next lap i could easily be 1-2 seconds off, it is so hard to be consistent, unless you already got good..

But to my surprise, CSA really hurts in the hairpin, makes it much harder to turn.. if only it was like this on every track.

Sooo, as usual, can't stop try to better my qualy time. Havent had lots of time for gt this week, but I have noticed, that the grip is better at end of the week and this was true also this week. Car felt better and at no time a was getting laps that were faster than my last qualy 1:38.6xx
In this run, my opt time was 1:37.5xx so 1sec faster. I made mistake in hairpin and lost few teths there and got my qualy time to 1:37.903.

Still no races thou, I have seen the havoc in the T1 in your videos :scared:

Turn 1 is fun!
Grid start keeps race c exciting! Plenty of time to make up places if bad things happen. Just race!
I wish I had more time.
Luckily the gr3 next week should be very good too.

Yeah I guess I should stop being a chicken and step on it at the start instead of waiting 5 seconds for the dust to clear  That strategy isn't working as all the track re-entries are bound to hit me sooner or later. Plus I suspect my accidental and crappy quali time isn't going to allow me to start last anymore in SR.A! I'm back, going to give the 5pm race a try. I can always do some real qualifying and see how it is in the front. It's the carnage I see at the start of every race that makes that the least appetizing option. I swear some people simply press the gas pedal down and close there eyes until the sounds of scraping metal are done with.

At Tokyo, two weeks ago, I tried staying behind the turn 1 carnage, and just winded up getting mixed up with them. I fared better when I started aggressively, and got ahead of them asap.

That's me done for tonight I think, set my best race record in that last race, 20:08 with a 37.0 fastest lap.

May spend the weekend if i get time just trying to drop into the 35's

Damn I love this car....

Did two C races, back to back.

First race: Holy... that was chaotic. Lots of collisions at the first half of the lap. I brake too late for a turn, and someone accidentally bumps me. I fall from 2nd to near last place, and throughout the race, I had no sync with the Super Formula. You know how in the first episodes of Kill la Kill, Ryuko is not in sync at all with Senketsu? That was pretty much me with the car. Eventually finished 9th, but I was not happy with my performance.

Second race: I was MUCH more in sync with the car. Started and finished in 3rd, I performed much better.

I guess aggressive is the way this game is meant to be played. This time I stepped on it at the start, was in 6th by the end of lap 1 (with some SR Downs but no penalty) and finished 2nd with fastest lap, 13 positions gained, +17 SR.

Yes aggressive but not reckless, being cautious can cause you as many problems as just driving normally too, a lot of it is instinct based and mostly it's all about luck when there are cars going off and coming back on all over the place.

The only advice is to try to stick to the inside if possible, even if it's slow and you get held up behind someone at least you are not one of the cars punted off in the very first corner and sometimes you just drive through all the chaos and you are 8th having started 20th and it's only the end of sector 1. Other times a car comes back on and hits you and you are last again, the joys of driving from the back, that's why I use two accounts, can run from the back when I feel like it or start nearer the front if I want a break from the chaos. :D

Tried 2 C races. First one with a bunch of fast guys. Divebombed on turn 1 on the second lap. Bumped and sent to a parallel universe. Ended up in last place. I managed to crawl back to 11 place ...

Rinse and repeat for the second one. Only twice ...:lol: . Finished in 8th place in this one. Good clean fight with an American though !

Lol, I still am not 100% sure who he is yet

Last race, Turismo Del left and Pokey showed back up to whip me. 👍 It was fun.

I got reset at N24, last week but I'm already back up to DR A, because DTG has been so kind to me. Pretty drunk, right now, but I keep getting podiums, because I've done the race so many times that everything is automatic, at this point.

You still using your wheel?

First race of the night was pretty good. @sturk0167 started in front of me., we were 3 and 4 and it was a good race with him and i and a couple other guys. We finish 1, 2. The night rooms are so much faster than the morning. I know i mention it often, but its very true

Ha, thanks man. I was just trying to keep up tbh. Sad to hear your not using the wheel my man.

Second race was almost the same group. Was going well till the ghy i was riding through the back esses (that sounds bad) lifted or something and i tapped him ever so lightly but it completly upset my car and i ended up spinning in front of two other guys. Of course i didn't ghost for some stupid reason so i got hit by both of them. Not even sure who it was or how badly it messed up thier race. I apologised after but got no response...

I feel like I'm faster without it. Different strokes for different folks.
